I’m getting married this Friday and either the stress is finally getting to me or the universe hates me.
I was supposed to start my period yesterday, and of course I didn’t so now I will be on it no matter what on my wedding day.
I’m breaking out.
I woke up to an irritated, itchy, watery eye. The inner corner has three blood vessels that are pretty big and red. I don’t know if it’s allergies or from my contact. I just hope it goes down before Friday.
The spider bite on my leg from 3 weeks ago hasn’t gone away completely. I’m pretty sure the damn thing is a scar now because it’s a light tan color slightly darker than my skin. Oh and it’s peeling. SO ATTRACTIVE!
More and more people are telling me they won’t be able to make it to the wedding even though they RSVP’d yes. My cousin/best friend waited until last minute to request the weekend off of work and his boss denied it.
My other cousin (who is also marrying us) is a professional boxer and he is going for the state title the day after our wedding. Well his weigh-ins are at the same time as our reception, so he won’t be there and I found out via Facebook his two brothers (my cousins also) and their girlfriends are going to the weigh-ins and not our reception.
My FI’s car broke down so he had to take mine to work last week and this week leaving me stranded at home with a million things to do and no car to do it.
On a more positive note, our refridgerator broke over the weekend and our landlord brought us a new one this morning.
Feel free to use this thread to complain about anything you want, bees!

hugs, sorry you are having a rough week.
i got married on a saturday (10/19), AF was supposed to arrive on monday (10/21). maybe it was stress, but she came on 10/18 and the second day is always my worst day, talk about nightmares coming true.
i was so nervous about wearing my wedding gown. but everything was fine. and let me tell you i have the best friends. they helped me in the bathroom a few times and held my dress while i changed my tampon. if that’s not close friends, i don’t know what it.

Take a deep breath it’ll all be ok.
My carpal tunnel flared up like crazy today and I’ve been at work on the computer for 3 hours with 9+ more to go. ugh

BakerBee16: Everything will work out just fine.
The most important thing is that you’ll be married.

Here’s my advice, do something nice for yourself. Even if it’s something little like taking a walk, a nap, reading a book. It can be as short as 15 minutes, just give yourself some time to collect your thoughts. A lot of the things that seem to be bugging you are vanity related. I’m certain that your eye will be fine by friday, and if you are on your period during the wedding, that’ll be okay to. I think you’re probably just hyper aware of everything that’s going on, which is causing you to get upset. Just know that on your wedding day, you’re going to be happy and it may not seem like it now, but I’m certain it will all fall into place. The more you worry about the vanity issues, the worse you’ll feel. Just try to detach from that, and focus on the more important aspects of the wedding.

Boooooooooooo! Sounds like a whole lot of crapola! But this stuff is all out of your control, so you gotta just roll with the punches. Take some time to de-stress (take a walk or a bath or read or cook something yummy or whatever). Focus on the things you’re looking forward to and how awesome your wedding is going to be! I was super stressed the week prior to my wedding and then we had torrential downpours and hail (In August!) at my outdoor rehearsal and I nearly flipped out. But I was able to remind myself that the important thing was marrying my husband and celebrating with my friends and family. Then on wedding day we had fantastic weather and it was one of the best days of my life!

You and your wedding will be perfect and if it’s not, you’ll still be married to the man of your dreams at the end of the day. 🙂

ajillity81: Haha wow those are definitely what you call close friends.
MrsPiggles: Awe I’m sorry about your carpal tunnel 🙁 My mom had surgery for that and I know how much pain she was always in.
nadnuk: You’re right! That will be the most important thing 🙂
erw4338: That’s so weird, I didn’t even notice most of the things I listed are vanity concerns! I took your advice and went for a walk around our neighborhood. It’s a beautiful day out and I feel better already 🙂 Nothing like a little Vitamin D to cheer you up!
JenGirl: It’s supposed to rain on our wedding day, but surprisingly I am okay with that LOL. I’m glad your wedding day had beautiful weather!!
BurlapnLace: LOL I know I gotta keep reminding myself to BREATHE! 🙂
