Have you contacted etsy?  You might start there, maybe they can help you get them.  I would also contact your credit card company and paypal if you used them.  I would be prepared to buy some at Hobby Lobby if the time gets too late.  Sorry, what a sucky situation.  People like that are just horribly frustrating.

I would find out the country time difference and stay up and attempt to make a phone call to her… and if that didnt work… Im not sure if Etsy works like eBay with sending the payments via paypal but I would contact paypal and my credit card company and start a dispute… of course that does not allow enough time to maybe order invitations but that will allow you to eventually get your money back. Depending on your bank you may receive a temporary credit during the investigation but paypal usually settles disputes within 2-3 business days… again this may not be enough time to get new invitations created and delivered on time… Im sorry this is happening to you but honestly make 1 more attempt (the phone call) and if no response contact paypal and your bank / credit card and get your money back and figure out plan B which is getting new invitations. They may not be as nice as the original onces but in hind sight $700 is way too much money to be out of

So sorry this is happening. At least you have a backup! And don’t beat yourself up over the situation…I think we all get blinded by wedding vision every now and then. πŸ™‚

I’d be a little concerned and nervous.  Is there any indication in this seller’s recent feedback of problems that others have had?  I **think** Etsy is like Ebay in that you only have 45 days from the date of payment to get your money back.  If you paid with a credit card or with a credit card through Paypal, then you have some other options.

I would be pushing the seller hard with this – that is totally unacceptable.

If the seller does come through, I would leave appropriate feedback so that other brides know what they’re getting themselves into.

Sorry you’re going through this!

Im in a similar situation too, I ordered invites from a reputable place and they have no status on them or when they will be done. Time is running out here. I dread having to run to Michael’s and buy a DIY box since I already shelled out a lot of $$ for these. I am going to call everyday until I get an answer. If I dont get an answer soon, I am going to dispute it with my credit card and try to cancel the whole order. Sucks!!!

I am an etsy invitation of wedding paper design and the first thing that I concern myself with for all my brides is how often would you like communication. Communication within the web world is key is getting and feeling cormforatbel about what you want/deserve!

in this case she should have stated she would be in contact at least 2 times a week since you have a quick deadline. I’m so sorry you have to go through this πŸ™

If you still need an invitation design and are afraid of paying $700 (OUCH!) let me know. πŸ™‚
