Weddingbee boards

So.. I would classify myself as a waiting bee for a year and a half, been together for a little over 2. We talked about getting married very early on (if you really want to go read all the back story from 10 months ago... it's all there... hehe).  We'd originally planned on October 2010, but I am SO glad we waited. Because of a lot of things --  time, money, and just getting to "know" each other and grow together as boyfriend and girlfriend the past 2 years.

So... anyway, we both just got new jobs last week! Eeek! We met each other at work 3 years ago, both started there within a month of each other, and our last days there are both next Friday. How weird is that?!

So.. his #1 reason (excuse?) for not proposing was his job. I know it weighed on him, though, and I cannot blame him for wanting to have his career ducks in a row before committing to being a husband to me. I was making twice as much as him, and he just couldn't catch a break. Well the break of a lifetime came last week. He's got a new career now :D So now that the last "puzzle piece" is in place, I am getting antsy as hell.

I am ready to try on dresses, look at venues, and get ready to for the "big day". I've had the mindset...  "WHO CARES?!" for soooo long, I've really been out of the marriage/wedding/engagment mode for quite some time. Now.... well...... here it comes again. But I have full confidence I will keep my mouth shut this time around, I've kept it shut for a very long time and have been a-ok :) I'm just going to try and patiently wait. I have a feeling it's coming soon, I hope I'm right. If it hasn't happened by mid-October, we are having a very serious conversation (notice the bold, italics AND underline... haha). He said he wanted the weather to be nice for an outdoor proposal... and it'll start snowing in November/December...so yeah... Here goes to (hopefully) less than 3 months of waiting left!

I feel like I am in a similar boat....I am ready to start planning right NOW!!.  I too feel like I will get my proposal in Oct.  We are going through some custody issues/court dates with my ex regarding my daughter and my SO would like for us to be past that stress.  But, like you, we too will be having a very serious conversation if it hasn't happened by Nov.  Good luck...hopefully we can start our planning VERY soon!!

I guess at least we both know our SOs want to get married and be with us for the long haul. But the "waiting" period still sucks, regardless! Grrr...
