Wow, that dress is so beautiful! Love it!!! I don't care for the sash, either, though.
It's a very pretty dress, and I like the sash - but not in that color. Maybe something darker? I think it does help define the waist a little better though.
Love the dress, hate the sash. With your stats, anything probably looks good on you. This is a very common silhouette. Go to a local bridal shop and try on a strapless A-line. If you like the silhouette, go ahead and order it.
I think the dress is beautiful. I like the sash because I think it really defines the waist but I would do it in a different color like feministbride: said.
I like how the sash flatters the waist of the dress. However, I don't care for that particular sash. It kind of looks like you went to the fabric store and bought a few yards of ribbon off the rack.
You know, reading this comment made me look at it again and I think I agree. Maybe the sash is good since it does show the waist really nicely.
OP, can you get another material for the sash?
I love the first picture of the dress from afar. The shape is beautiful.
I'm not thrilled by the scalloping on the neckline though.
As for the sash, I like the idea of a sash, but definitely NOT that color.
love the dress, like the sash but not the color, i like what it adds to the dress but i would do white.
Gorgeous dress, but I don't care for the sash and don't think it is necessary. If you did do a sash, I thing something with less "pop" (think champagne, coffee, mocha, etc) would work best.
Thanks everyone...I DEFINITELY agree that the sash MUST GO!!!!!!! lol
I think the dress is really beautiful! I agree with some of the others who like the way a sash could define the waist a little more, but definitely not that sash. Go for a better quality sash in a softer color, I think!
Love the dress. Agree with your decision that the sash doesn't go well with the dress.
Replacing the sash will be easy and inexpensive though.
Gorgeous dress!!! As everyone has already mentioned, the sash just doesn't work. lol I think the dress is perfect without a sash, but as the OP's said, it never hurts to accentuate the waistline...for that, I like your idea of a soft pink.
It's very pretty and I like it better without the sash. I think it breaks up the design of the beading on the dress and not in a good way.
Thanks for all the opinions! Id have to play around with a sash. There are so many different options.
Perhaps choose a sash that doesn't compete so much in terms of fabric? The one pictures looks like it's satin, and I think that something with a softer texture (and not so shiny!) would really help the dress shine all on its own.
Keep the sash, it will help excentuate your waist line since the dress doesn't have a define line to seperate your torso from your bottom half. Plus if you have problem areas, the splash of color will draw people's eyes to your pretty sash and away from the problem areas.
Pink sash out, That dress is gorgeous without a sash, but I think it would look wonderful with the right sash. Gorgeous. Excellent choice.
Time to hit the gym if I'm going to try this one! lol Always thought I would get a tight fitted dress. I will keep you all posted with pics!
Maybe you could try a plain thick band around the waist, in silver or ivory?
Get rid of the sash!!!!! Gorgeous Gorgeous dress!!!
I agree with pretty much everyone else: love the dress; hate the sash.
Also, I'm wearing a Bonny dress too! This one: http://www.bonny.com/853.html
Yeah love the dress, not the sash. If you wanted a sash (wish I don't know if I think you really need, since the dress has great details already) you could either buy a sash, OR you can get one made. For cheap. I did that for a dress I was wearing to a wedding. Just go to a fabric store, pick out the type of fabric you love, and then take the fabric even to the dry cleaners (or if you, unlike me, can sew or have friends who can sew hah) and just have them make it into a sash that has clean lines and whatnot. Regardless, the dress is great!
Woops. I voted no because I thought we were voting for the sash or not. I LOVE the dress.

New to the board. Been browsing some dresses online, and also visited a few local stores. My budget is around $1,000 but less would be great :) Has anyone worn a Bonny dress? I know this probably is not the "high" quality designer judging from the GORGEOUS dresses I see on here! However, I do love this one!! And rum pink color is an added bonus. Spotted it on Ebay. Too bad I probably cant find this in stores to try on...its probably like 10 years old lol lol But for a low price, maybe I should take a shot? If it helps, I'm a size 8 or 10 and I am 5'7.
Also, I would NOT use the colored sash. I would probably switch it for soft ivory/pink.
