I think at some point, maybe a few weeks or months from now if her behavior doesn’t change, you could tell her how much this bothers you and ask her to stop telling you what her husband thinks about you and your family.

Make it clear that you’re not trying to change his opinion and that you don’t want her to ask him to change, just that you don’t want her to tell you.

If she doesn’t stop after that, well, maybe distancing yourself from her is best.

@SamanthaLovesJames:  Your friend is a grade A jerk. She has no business telling you negative things that are said about you, your husband or family. I would distance myself also.

You could ask why she feels the need to tell you these things that cause you offence and hurt. It would be interesting to see her response.

Simple solution!

‘Hey [insert her name here], do you mind not telling me bad things your hubby says about us? It makes me feel weird. Thanks!!”
