So, Saturday, I got married.  It was perfect.  The ceremony, the the reception, the hotel room my family got for us for that night (we're going on a honeymoon in a few weeks).  It was incredible.  I promise to have pictures for you as soon as I get some from our photographer.

Our flowers turned out absolutely stunning - my 2 good bridesmaids made them for me when they got here.  We had more than enough candles to get the feel I was going for.  I didn't cry - very shocked about that.  Couldn't have asked for a better day.  So far, I only have a picture of me and my aunt that is worth showing from our guest's pictures. Warning - it's a little shiny. Hahahaha.

Honestly, I just used hydrangea for the tables and garden roses for my bouquet.  Those are pictured below with our sand-pouring jar.  For the bridesmaids flowers, she used both hydrangea and garden roses.  (second picture)  It was perfect, and not expensive at all.  Also - word of encouragement - not hard to do. The second picture is a bit fuzzy.

@Dancy905 - those are actually garden roses. Peonies weren't in season for me, and these are almost exactly the same - but cheaper!!  I highly recommend them.

Post-wedding tips:  hhhmmmm - you can't get started too early.  I have been purchasing and planning in small increments, which made the day-of so less stressful.  Itineraries are a must.  I made them from a template from here (sorry, I can't remember who it was that posted it) for my bridesmaids, groomsmen, parents, pastor and each other. 

When everyone is on the same page and knows what to do and when, things go smoother than you could every imagine. I made checklists for everyone for the set up, take down and where everything extra needed to go.  Everyone had the site cleaned up (linens, candles, food, beverages, and extra centerpieces) in 40 minutes. 

Don't worry about things going quickly - it did for me, but I was semi-relieved that it didn't take forever and no one was bored.  Also, don't be afraid to ask for help.  That's hard for me, but once I made it clear what I needed (help with set up and take down) and what I didn't (extra emotional conversations from ANYONE before the ceremony), things went better than expected.  For example, I didn't cry at all.

Thanks for the congrats, girls.  Even though I got the hydrangea from Sam's Club, I followed the directions on how to cut them from the fiftyflowers website.  Do the hot water trick, and let them all sit for as long as possible. 

The garden roses are gorgeous, but they are very sensitive.  I got them in on Thursday morning, made the hydrangea (60 stems) centerpieces (18 centerpieces) on Friday night, and then made the bouquets (72 roses and 6 hydrangea) on Saturday morning right before we left for the site.  They were perfect through the ceremony and reception, but the roses were a little wilted by the time we got them home. 

The hydrangea are going strong, though!  Still!!
