Sadly no pics yet 🙁 but I’m married! I just got back from our honeymoon (amazing cruise to mexico) and I’m so happy! All in all the day was so perfect. It was funny though, it started off all calm, with the hair and makeup people showing up at 6, but when the photographer showed up at 10 its like someone hit the fast forward button, and everything got crazy! One big lesson I learned that maybe could help someone else out, try not to have anything las minute to do, it probably won’t get done. In case that’s not possible, have some go to people to help that aren’t in the wedding party! I had a couple friends staying with me and a husband of a bridesmaid that seriously saved the day!
Our ceremony was so perfect! I’ll never forget it! We’re Catholic and had a full mass, but it went by so fast! I’ve never felt so much love present in one place, it was so overwhelming! The pics after went by so fast too! My photog wanted o get some shots in dirtier areas, I was hesitant at first, but he said he could edit any issues on my dress out, so we went tramping through firt and mud lol. I definitely got full use out of my dress!
The reception was amazing! Everything turned out so beatiful! It really was a perfec day! The only problems:
My brother was a groomsman and kept disappearing, he barely made it in for any of the pictures. It was annoying, but I ended up jus getting over it. Funny thing is he was the calmest most agreeable person in my fam pre wedding, but ended up being the biggest problem day of
Apparently the organist was late to the church, I just found out that’s why the ceremony started late, I’m glad I didn’t know before
My hubby 🙂 and I kissed right afer we got out of the church, it was a wonderful moment, which was interrupted by my mom who didn’t think we should be kissing, ugh.
We tried to get around to say hi to all the tables at the reception, but only made it to about 10 out of 16. I felt bad about the others, but there wasn’t any time :(. Maybe a recieving line isn’t such a bad idea.
The DJ is my biggest regret. He messed up the entrance, right after going over it with us and it being fine, I have no idea what happened. He played all the wrong music at the wrong time too. Like hip hop when all older couples were on the floor. And he completely went against some requests I had :(. I had a daytime wedding, so I really wanted to be able to count on the DJ to keep the party going, he kinda kept killing it instead. I went through and agency that I thought was great and carefully picked someone who had a lot of experience that I thought would work out… but I guess you never know :(.
All in all though, it was a wonderful day! I can’t wait to get pics! I’m so happy to be married to my wonderful husband, and to e done with planning haha. Good luck to everyone still planning!
