I need some inspiration too, I am having pwd bad, I don't want to admit it though! I am going to follow this thread too! I have to go back to watching hgtv again like I did before I got engaged.
Haha.. I read your post title and immediately I thought "Now you get depressed." and lo and behold you kind of said it in your post!
I definitely needed to figure out how to refocus my energy. I finally just got back into decorating/outfitting our house, but that took a while because we were so poor after the wedding for a bit. Decor is definitely the cure to post wedding blues! I don't follow decorating blogs though cause I'm weird... and I still follow all the wedding blogs :)
For love of all things Turquoise (I am obessed right now...) check this out:

Love kitchens? I do!:

Frenchie- Mogg Blogg is HILARIOUS!!
And Vic- I am so all over HGTV!! It's so bad that I watch that while blogging for WB!!
Anyone else have Blogs for me?
Wait. You mean once we're married... we won't squeal for joy everyday? lol jk
Oh I'm not close to my wedding day yet, but I already feel like this planning is taking over. It must be so strange to be "done". But yay! Congratulations on your marriage!
Are you a good cook? If not... you could learn- haha in some cases you can learn what not to do (cakewrecks anyone?)!
Cooking is my next adventure after the move. I pretty much stick to the basics and suck at everything else!
Oh my goodness... you need to check out http://www.katheats.com/ I love eating through her lol.
I learned to cook by going to allrecipes.com. It's great, but it seems like everything is covered in cheese. Now I'm switching my time back and forth between cookinglight.com, myrecipes.com and allrecipes.com. Everything is rated & tweaked... you can't go wrong if it has a high rating!
Good luck :)
Ha! Peeptoe, I totally understand your need for a new obsession...I've been planning a wedding for over a year...wtf do I do with all my crap now that it's come screeching to a fiery halt and exploded into a ball of flames? I'm now stalking this thread for ideas.
Need. New. Hobbie.
I wish horseback riding wasn't so expensive.
thepioneerwoman.com: Photography, Life, Home, Cooking (she is really good).
oh joy!

Making it lovely
I have realized that my PWD is just really job searching depression in disguise. Planning the wedding was such a lovely diversion! Job searching can really get me down. :(
Thanks for the blog list ladies- I now have something to do at work tomorrow!! he he.
Taffy- job searching sucks. Totally feel for you.
Thanks for posting this, Peep! I'm looking for some new blogs to add to my reader, too, and I'm loving all of the responses. I usually check out some scrapbooking/craft blogs. I love Capture the Moment for paper craft ideas. For decorating and nesting, lately, I've been going to The Nest and just reading random blogs when I see a link in someone's siggy. I've come a cross a few recipes I want to try that way and some neat decorating DIY ideas.
Thanks for the design/decor blog ideas. I have found that, since the wedding, I do feel kind of a void in my time. I spent so many hours thinking/talking about the wedding, that it's kind of let-down not having that to focus on. Also, we aren't moving into a new place (we'll be in our current apartment at least another year or two), so I have felt like we need to redecorate a little.
Recessionista--I hadn't considered learning to cook, but I might try it out. Currently I *hate* cooking and my husband does ALL of our cooking. I might try to use some of my post-wedding energy to learn to cook something more than microwave popcorn/takeout.
I have to add to my own post. I also love Made by a Girl. She's freakin fantastic and Coco and Kelly.
Thanks for the links... I was searching for design/decor blogs too
I don't read any design blogs, but you may also want to check out local blogs for your area, if you think that would be interesting for you. I have two favorite blogs - one for "imports" to my current city and another with vegetarian reviews in my local area.
www.decorology.blogspot.com is a great decorating blog!! Very inspiring ideas!
Good luck finding a hobby now!
Well, I so agree with the post wedding depression. But if you want to giggle, my blog is about all the NEW and FUNNY things you learn and encounter when you are a newlywed. So, stop by my blog if you want to laugh, you never know, you might relate to some of it too!
My blog is http://funtimesofmarriedlife.blogspot.com/
Hope to see you there!
I'm worried about this, too!
Mr. Star teases me a bit, but I've already started a list of "Exciting Things I'm Going To Do Post-Wedding." I think it's helping ease my concerns about being bored after!
I am OBSESSESD with www.younghouselove.com
It used to be called thisyounghouse.com but they just announced a name change this morningn due to legal reasons.
And, just to combine your obsessions, check out their wedding album section. I love everythign about their wedding.
Oh no! I've been wondering when post-wedding depression will hit and when I'll settle in. I think after DH gets out of the Army and the high wears off from having him home safely. It'll be nice when we live together! But for now, I keep remembering how BUSY i was and how great it is to go to bed by 10pm and watch my favorite tv shows and play with all my kitchen gadgets and daydream about paint and hardwood floors and cook!
so many great ideas! I can't wait to start a newlywed google reader...but I'm still hanging on to the wedding thing until every last shower, DIY project, wedding prep, wedding and honeymoon post is finished. I spent 8 months prepping for this wedding, and it's going to take me at least that long to come down from it!
I don't really see myself as quite over the wedding yet! Some of you bees must understand beause my new husband just does not.
Ill have to check these blogs out too! Sad thing is it makes me want to buy so much new stuff that I cant afford, so I dont know that it would help that much :) At least I am in 3 more weddings this year so I can live through my friends until the end of October!
I'm so glad you posted this... it's wierd, I feel like I went right into nesting mode- new couch, new chairs, new look in the apartment. It's probably the fact that we've spent so much energy planning details, finishing projects, and putting a look together and now that energy is turned towards our sweet little apartment. The blogs are great- I especially love Apartment Therapy. Now that Domino Magazine is finished I need another whimsical home decor inspiration!

So I've been happily married for almost a month and post wedding depression is starting to hit. I think I'll be obsessed with WB for the next few months, but I need new non-wedding related blogs to read.
We're probably moving soon- so what 'Nest'/decorating blogs do you read? I love apartment therapy because it's mainly for small spaces.
Help, I need a new obession?
