Hey bees!!!
I don't have the time or the pictures to do a full recap right now, but I wanted to give you a brief summary and a few pics!
Our New Year's Eve wedding went beautifully! But of course, a few things went wrong in the hours before the wedding.
I woke up with no voice and had to drink copious amounts of tea and honey all day. The hotel declined my debit card and left me panicking until I had verified with Mr. Fish that there was, in fact, almost $500 in the account. I had them re-type the numbers and sure enough, I was approved. I was really excited for all of about three seconds, and then I got distracted by the EARTHQUAKE that shook the entire hotel so badly that I was sure it was going to collapse on top of me.
After that, it was good. My bridesmaids and I got ready in the suite and we only ended up starting the ceremony 10 minutes late (and it wasn't even my fault! My MOH/officiant got lost between the hotel and the hall... *facepalm*)
The ceremony was beautiful and we wrote it ourselves... I'll post more details later but as soon as I got to my husband, he whispered "You're so beautiful" and continued to tell me that throughout the entire ceremony :)
The reception was a blast! It took a little while for people to start dancing but when they started, they didn't stop!
I'll fill you in on more details later, but even without ANY professionals (friend as an officiant, friend as a DJ, and family members acting as caterers, and my friends and grandpa taking pictures), everything went perfectly. I have never had so much fun!
This last one is the midnight dance to "I'm Sexy and I Know It." Bahahaha. Good times.
