I empathize with you.  My BIL isn’t in prison or anything, but very whiney and entitled.  All of DH’s siblings are.  It’s sickening.  I really don’t know if I’ll ever like any of them.  What’s really annoying is how MIL and FIL cannot see through their kids’ bullcrap and feed into it.  I just wanna run far, far away.

My one future brother in law has mentioned, more than once, how he’ll be rich when their dad dies and he’s looking forward to it.  Just…really? WHY WOULD YOU SAY THAT??  It’s such a nasty thing to be thinking, but even worse to say out loud!!  Like once he said something like, “If I keep working this hard, I might be rich on my own…I won’t have to wait till George dies!”  And his wife was like, hahahaha.  I think I said something like, “That’s an awful thing to say!” But he is always right and never wrong.

AND he is so arrogant.   UGH.

Don’t let that put you off having kids just bring them up properly with love and tell them off when they are bold and stick to your guns. There’s always one kid who does whatever they want and are still the golden child, just don’t let that happen.

Ugh. I’m sorry, hon. I’m not a huge fan of my FBIL for various reasons (though none like yours), and he’s FI’s best man. At this point, I’m just hoping he comes through on basic duties.

I wouldn’t have a former prisoner at my wedding no matter who he was, unless it was a miscarriage of justice there’s no way he would get near my big day. Your future mother in law needs to be told your not postponing and your not having a vows renewal and even if you were he won’t be coming.

We moved away ( 17 hour drive). BIL keeps saying how much he misses his brother and never sees him and its like ya when we lived 2 hours away you refused to visit even if we helped pay for gas… the only way they see each other is when DH goes and visits them in there shit hole of a life. BIL couldnt afford his pants and shirt for the wedding because he got a 700$ tattoo (which his friend did and it wasnt that good) and a puppy which they cant afford 9when milk is too expensive for your kids you shouldnt pay for another mouth to feed). Have the wedding when you want and move far away.
