I ordered our caketopper from this seller and when I put in a deposit, that was the last time I have heard from her. Now Im sure everything is fine(she has a 99% positive feedback), but its nerve wracking not knowing how its going.
My wedding is about two months away and it would be NICE if I heard from her. I sent a note on July 22nd to see how it was going, but I didnt hear anything back.
What did you do when u ordered something from a etsy seller and you werent hearing anything?
Advice to any Etsy sellers that might read this…..please contect your buyers to let them know how its going, even if its a small note. We brides worry, even though it all might be fine. 🙂

Send another note letting her know how worried you are. I’m an etsy seller and can sometimes get really behind – but not with my messages :/
I had an awful experience with a seller right around my wedding and was on pins and needles for forever waiting for my order.

I purchased my cake topper on Etsy and the seller told me that the topper would take around a month. I didn’t hear from her at all during that time, and it did come about a month after purchase. My sister just ordered her topper from Etsy and the seller informed her that they make their toppers in order of the wedding date, so it is possible that other orders have been prioritized over yours due to earlier needs. I wouldn’t be overly worried about it if the seller has a lot of positive reviews. However, if you are approaching the 45-day mark I’d stay on them and would be ready to file a Paypal dispute.

Iordered almost everything for my wedding that I didn’t DiY including my cake topper, here’s what I usually do in these situations:if it seems like I haven’t heard from a seller in a while, I look at their business regulations and usually they will have a turn around time specified. If it hasnt been longer than the time specified I don’t panic, I just wait. If it has been longer, send a note, if you still don’t hear back file a complaint.
Most sellers are really great about keeping communication open.. Ive only had one bad experience so far and PayPal fixed it right away.

I have only had one bad experience from an etsy seller and she had 99% positive feedback when I ordered. She assured me my hanger would be sent out quickly but it never arrived. I ended up ordering another one from a different shop. The original seller’s shop has since been closed by etsy. I imagine I’m not the first bride she didn’t send an item to. Unfortunately these things can happen. Try to give etsy sellers a date sooner than your actual wedding date. That way, if the product is late you have time to get a new one and get your money back. Also, when using paypal always use a credit card instead of a bank draft. For my case, I tried to escalate the claim after the 45 day period. Paypal couldn’t help me so I called my credit card company and they refunded me the money. I think you should be fine in this case though. All of my other etsy sellers have gotten my items sent on time as promised. Definitely watch your 45 day mark to file a claim if needed but otherwise don’t worry I’m sure it will arrive!
