Yay! That's so exciting!
I found out and wasn't supposed to know either. It killed me to stay quiet about the fact I knew he'd asked my parents permission! :)
super duper exciting!! I guess it pays off to have a blabber mouth daughter! HA! Thankfully, he didn't tell her WHEN the actual proposal was going to happen. She said he told her that was going to be a surprise for the both of us!!
That is so exciting! Don't forget to act surprised.
When it came time for my guy to talk with my family, I unknowingly gave him the perfect opportunity, and didn't even realize it! We were leaving on vacation, and he dropped off our pets with my family because my schedule was too tight. Well, he took advantage of the situation and asked for their blessing... then proceeded to wait 3 weeks to propose. And I had no idea the whole time!
Wahoo!!! I hope the proposal happens soon for you. Knowing that would make me expect it every second of every day!

that is fantastic! i wish my SO didn't blab his mouth and tell me. now we're planning a wedding and so many people know and he wants me to continue planning but HASN'T PROPOSED! this is SO FRUSTRATING!
we even set a date. i thought i was supposed to be surprised with this whole thing! now i'm stressing out because we have less than 9 months and i still dont have a ring.

well I still don't know WHEN he is going to ask..so I will definitely be surprised! We've been very open with the whole ring buying process. We picked out my ring together. Now that he's asked my mom, I'm hoping he asks ME sooner than later! :) We've also (unofficially) set a date.

...just out of curiosity, how soon before the proposal does the "talk" usually occur. My BF and my dad haven't had it yet as far as I know, but just for future reference...
well my bf talked to my mom almost 2 weeks ago...and I'm still ringless!! (Although my daughter spilled the beans today and told me that he SHOWED her the ring and it's in a pretty red box!!)

Congratulations bunnylovesbear! Looks like quite a few people are getting crossed off the waiting list, makes me wonder who's still going to be around (I know I'm going to be stuck here for quite awhile)
