why why why did I break wedding rule number 1.
Once you get a dress put on dress blinders. Dont think about, look at and especially try on other dresses.
So now I need your help bees. My original dress is this amazing dress.
I loved it, it was my style, it only needed minor alterations. It looks great with a elbow length veil…oh and it was less than 100 bucks. (SCORE)
So why did I keep looking? well I guess I like torturing myself, but I also felt in my heart that there was another dress out there.
and well… I think I found her yesterday. She is also non traditional, she doesnt require any alterations.
Honestly I am so confused with my dress choices. I am getting married in a cabin, That in itsself obviously has a country vibe to it and neither one of my dresses scream vintage or rustic. But these two dresses are very me. Everything about me is red, white and black. Those are just my colors. I really want to add a punch of red under the new dress but I can not find tulle petticoat in red that is long. UGH.
So with this new dress comes new problems.
What color flowers should I do? I was thinking just red roses but I would also like something that is a mix of contemporary and country. I have no idea.
What type of veil? My previously purchased plain white elbow length veil just doesnt go as well with this dress.
Should I keep looking because both these dresses are too modern for a cabin setting?
Man why oh why did I break wedding rule number one.
(sorry for the long post and huge pictures)

Personally I would keep your oiginal dress. The 2nd dress to me is to prom looking.

I have to agree, I’d keep the original too, it looks GORGEOUS on you.

^ exactly. The first one is VERY original – I’ve never seen anything like it before, and it’s very classic and stunning. The second one looks like a prom dress. You were right with your first choice!

First off the sillohouette on the first dress looks fab on you. The second dress is kind of awkard where the black top and the white bottom meet. I think red roses would be beautiful. Since you are already breaking away from the cabin theme with your dress I don’t see the point in having your flowers tie in with that said theme. You should just do roses in red, the color that you love. Good luck with everything!

Thanks for all the comments. I am so confused!! I love both of them
Oh and both should look somewhat promish since they are prom dresses Girls gotta budget ya know

The second dress just looks heavy to me. I vote for first one!

I like the first one on you very much. It’s got your black and white, and is delicate with a classic, elegant silhouette. And you know, I do picture that one in a woodsy/natural setting as your cabin. Those *are* flowers and leaves in the black embroidery detail, yes? Enjoy it and don’t torture yourself any longer. 😉 Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!
Oh, one more thing. I can see you with your hair up and a big beautiful red rose in your hair to get you that burst of red! Pretty!

I VOTE DRESS #1!! The second dress looks more like a prom dress 🙂

I just don’t understand the second dress…why the white swirls out of the black?Plus, I don’t actually think the ruching adds anything to your body…I mean look how much thinner you look in the first dress?
The first dress looks great fantastic AMAZING on you. Plus I think it does suit your venue because its very vintage, the pattern is a little victorian, but the shape and colour is obviously modern.
Have you considered a smiple cathedral veil with the first? It will make it all wedding!

The first one shows off that amazing figure that you have. I vote that one. The second is pretty, but I think it kind of wears you where as you wear the first. I can’t wait to see the recaps of your wedding.

I’m in the minority but I like the second dress. I think it will look stunning with a bouquet of red roses and red shoes.
Since both of your dresses are not very country or rustic I don’t think you should keep looking because I don’t think that’s your style and looking at more dresses isn’t going to change that. Go with one of the two you already have, you look great in both of them.

I like the first dress more! I also wanted to mention that a lot of people dye their petticoats… it is easier to do than find the perfect color. If you do a search there are quite a few threads around on how to do it.

keep with the 1st one, the 2nd is prom-y to me (i know they’re both prom dresses, but the 2nd one is more overt). i think you look amazing in the 1st one!

I’m on the first dress bandwagon! It is absolutely gorgeous on you and while non-traditional, it still looks bridal to me.
