I’m on a month long diet challenge. I’ve reached my weight loss goal, and am hoping for a couple more pounds by the end of the month.
I don’t need a speech about how it’s not about dieting it’s about lifestyle – because I get that – I really do! But, the scale was creeping up and needed to be smacked down. 🙂 So, diet it is, for a short-stint of a month.
I’m the type of person that’s all or nothing… and someone who can gain and lose weight fairly quickly.
For this diet, the big things I’ve given up (that I would consume regularly) are: wine and dairy.
Well, tonight is Valentine’s Day and my otherwise steely resolve is making me want to pop open a bottle of wine with Darling Husband tonight.
So, hive, chime in… should I stick with my 28 day plan of no wine… or give in for the sake of this Hallmark holiday!

Ah . . . you’d better! If only to make me feel better about the bottle of prosecco I’ve just consumed!
(And wine is low cal, as far as alcohol is concerned.)

The beauty of diets? You’re allowed to have cheat days! In fact, they’re recommended! So grab some chocolate, drink a glass ( or three) of wine, and enjoy your night with DH!

Enjoy your Valentines Day 🙂

I’d normally say DON’T DO IT. But I am a miserable failure. It’s the 15th here and we had wine, cocktails and after dinner liqueurs. Bad me! Enjoy yourself 🙂

Thanks for chiming in! 🙂 I was seriously conflicted, but went for it… and it was soooo soooo good. It also helped that we pulled out a killer bottle – worth every stinkin’ calorie! Go big or go home, right?! 🙂
What wasn’t worth every calorie was the mound of granola I found myself chomping on afterwards – sigh. That’s my biggest problem when I start enjoying wine… I get major munchies with no willpower!
