Have you tried Amazon? I'm looking for normal non-globe string lights and they had the best price so far.
Also keep in mind that you will likely be able to sell them afterwards for at least 50% of the cost!
I just saw them in the garden section at Target yesterday. About $12 for 25 feet.
I also saw them at Target as well. They are by the Patio Furniture/Garden Center. They have many to choose from.
I just bought some yesterday! We found some at Target, 25 ft for $13 or so. But we then went to Big Lots and found sets that were 41 ft for $10. We bought all they had, 9 strands. So I hope you won't be going to the same store that we did haha.
Big Lots has them? hmm... I've been looking for these too, just thinking about them. Good to know!
I've been looking all over too. The ones I ordered off Targets website were a christmas light with a globe over top. Is there other ones in store? If so it's worth the drive to the states!
Hi! I'm also trying to do something like the top picture, with globe lights. Does anyone know what this is actually called so I can look up some ways to do it myself? Thanks in advance.
Anyway, I just got a bunch of globe light sets at Target since they're on sale right now for $10 for a 25 foot string. :) Hope you all find what you need!!
@allimuffin:Will you be selling your globe string lights? I'd be interested in buying them. Thanks!
@jb30: I'm looking for globe string lights for a June 2011 wedding. If you'd like to sell yours please let me know. Thanks!
I have 4, 25ft. strands that I got from Target around Christmas last year. I'm not sure what the globe dimension is right now or if we will even be able to use them at our venue. PM me in October if anyone wants to buy them, I don't have a problem parting with them and they may still be NIB.
I looked everywhere for these lights. We finally found some we liked at Cost Plus, a little pricey. If you become a member you get 10% off on your first purchase! We bought the 30 bulb strand! Good luck!

I've always looked at this site: http://www.partylights.com/Strings-Bulbs/GlobeLightSets/G50-15-Light-Set-Clear
They seem to have an amazing collection, but I've never actually ordered from them yet.
Good luck!
I have some for sale if you are still looking, 4 100 ft strands with clear globe lights. they have never been used because they arrived too late for our wedding so we ended up renting them at a premium. Let me know if you are interested!
@Kimberly Strickland: Very interested in your lights! Can you please send me more info and pricing? Thanks!! kerrysorrell@yahoo.com
Hi there
Do you still have the globe lights for sale and if so how much?
Thanks!
Sheena
Found these on sale at Target today, if people are still looking for them :) https://www.target.com/Home-Globe-String-Lights-Clear/dp/B000YY5UHA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&searchView=grid5&keywords=globe%20string%20lights&fromGsearch=true&sr=1-1&qid=1300736943&rh=&searchRank=target104545&id=Home%20Globe%20String%20Lights%20Clear&node=1038576%7C1287991011&searchSize=30&searchPage=1&searchNodeID=1038576%7C1287991011&searchBinNameList=subjectbin%2Cprice%2Ctarget_com_primary_color-bin%2Ctarget_com_size-bin%2Ctarget_com_brand-bin&frombrowse=0
@Kimberly Strickland: My lights are all sold, good luck!
@jb30: Thank you SO much for your Big Lots suggestion! I went today and they had TONS of garden lights for sale, including the round globe strands. I got 10 packs that are each 25' long with 40 bulbs on each strand for $10 a piece.
The globes are plastic, and I wasn't sure if they would look as good, but they are perfect! You can't tell a difference when they're turned on. I'm actually glad they aren't glass after reading all the horror stories of broken lights and bloody fingers on the target website!
I have:
1x100' strand(C7) w/ lights (G40):
2x50' strand(C7)w/ lights (G40):
2x25' strand(C7) w/ lights (G40):
1x25' strand(C7):
I bought these from: http://www.hometownevolutioninc.com/String-Lights-and-Bulbs.html
for my wedding. Only used once (lit for approx 6-8 hours). Each bulb has been rechecked and is good.
Please email bsch07@gmail.com if interested

Does anyone have any of these globe lights they would like to sell?????? I am going to use them as well and would love to recycle if possible instead of buying new. PM me if you want to get rid of yours!
@meganbo: I'd be interested in your lights if you still have them available. = ) smwhicker3@aol.com
Bee's i found some just recently at Big Lots for only $10! I would check there if you have one local.
I too am on a mission for globe lights. I am needing several strands of them. If anyone has any they would like to sell please contact me! kpzn99@gmail.com
Thanks!
I am also interested in purchasing globe lights. Please let me know if anyone is selling used ones!

Our reception is outdoors, and we want to have globe string lighting dancing above us. The problem is, I can't really find a great source for bulk string lights that don't cost an arm or a leg.
If anyone knows of a great source for globe string lights, I would be eternally grateful! Also, if you have any great tips on how you rigged your lighting, that would also be appreciated...I'm not sure how to like...um...set up posts or what not??? I'm thinking a 2x4 in a bucket of cement with hooks? Not sure though...there's gotta be an easier way...
Here are some inspiration pictures that make my heart go pitter-patter...
