Okay so I bought the T3039 from Davids Bridal. Here is the picture of the back.
It fit perfectly and all I had to do is have a bustle put in. When one of my sales reps heard me talking about it he said his wife is a seamstress and use to make wedding dresses. He gave me her number and said she’d give me a good price.
I went this week, she pinned my points up and off I went. Then I had a sick feeling. We never talked about how I wanted the train down for the ceremony and then to have it bustled afterward. Mind you I have been to over 30 weddings in the past 8 years and I know that is normally what happens. But I also know that I should never assume anything in life so I gave her a call. Thank god I did. She was about to permanently sow the points in. Am I crazy for thinking this lady who use to MAKE dresses wouldn’t have figured I wanted my beautiful train down part of the day. Why would I buy a dress with a train if I didn’t want to show it off?
Anyway she hadn’t started it yet but said that what I want really can’t be down with my dress and that she thinks it would be best for a permanent bustle. Then said if I come back out for another fitting so may be able to make it work.
My wedding is 30 days from today so I really don’t have time to take it to Davids Bridal now. I started crying at work. Now I’m affraid she will mess it up.
Am I over reacting? Do you think I should have the train down for the ceremony and then bustle it after or have it permanent?
If you wore this dress please tell me what you did and if you have pictures for referance that would be great.
