So im 24 weeks pregnant today and after a very stressful week I am actually having a meltdown over a teddy bear.
My dad (the most unsentimental person in the world) brought this teddy for my baby boy last week and I had it sitting on a box of baby stuff in a room my stupid dog shouldnt even be in.
I ran to answer the phone and the door blew open behind me and she snuck in and took it out to the backyard and ripped its nose off. I have no idea why but im now so angry at my dog and crying hysterically over this random teddy bear.
P.S 2 year old Golden Retriever free to a good home.

@MeeShell: Oh hun, it’s ok. Take a deep breath, and prepare for emergency surgery! I still have a stuffed duck from my own childhood and I’ve repaired that ratty looking thing more times than I can count.
It’s ok… you’ll be shocked at how many meltdowns you have over seemingly insignificant crap. Hang in there 🙂

@MeeShell: oh gosh. I can see why you’re upset ……
but your dog is so cute! Haha

@MeeShell: (((Hugs))) Can you sew it up and give it a new nose? I always think worn or damaged teddies are more beautiful.

aww I am so sorry sweetie, i would be upset too and i am not even pregnant. Can you find out what store your dad got it from and get the same one again?

I think it’s that fact that your dad did something so thoughtful…and you feel guilty that it’s now ruined.
I would try and sew the nose back on… keep these pictures, in the future when your little boy grows up you can tell him the story and he will laugh… come on…it is pretty funny looking. The misfortunate bear and the guilty dog 🙂

@MeeShell: naughty dog! But all is not lost. The teddy will be full of extra character with his newly grafted face. Pop yourself down to spotlight over the weekend and pick up a new nose for Ted. All will be well, I promise x

@MeeShell: P.S – I’ll take the golden retriever any day! Dying for a puppy!

I’m sorry you’re upset *hugs* Do you think if you asked your dad nicely he would get another bear for baby? I have meltdowns over really dumb things, and I don’t think this is a dumb reason at all.
On a side note, your doggy looks kinda guilty. I can’t believe she took it out to the backyard to commit the crime! Silly pooch…

@MeeShell: awww. First – adorable puppy, so hard to be mad at that face 🙂
second – it does mean something. Your dad is not sentimental, so him getting that teddy bear is special. Your dog ruined it 🙁 I’d be sad too.

@MeeShell: Aww I’m sorry. It’s so sweet that your dad brought that for you and baby. Right now it sucks, but just think of the story you get to tell your son someday. He will probably find the destruction pretty funny. I would see if you can sew the nose back on, and it should look good as new. Even if it doesn’t hug your dog and tell her that even though you hate her right now you still love her.

@MeeShell: Your dogs face.. is just.. “I BITE NOSES BECAUSE I LOVE YOU”

Awwww, As a former baby (that had a dog at birth) I apparently thought the dog was the best stuffed toy ever. Maybe the dog is just nervous about the compitition. Please don’t be too hard on the dog- we give them similar things as toys all the time. I have a dog now and am pregnant and I’m already worried about the dog/baby toy crossover. I’m just going to have to wash everything on hot every third day, IDK. But mines a bit older. It might be a good time to try and teach ‘not yours’ or something Golden Retrievers are pretty smart and strive to please. You have a lucky baby to have such a great big fluffy dog friend built into the family!
