- Wedding: June 2013
Ok, so I am attaching some pictures of what I would like as well as our venue. My theme is Alice in Wonderland, main colors are navy, sky blue and silver. This is more for the ceremony (art gallery in another area of venue). For the reception I want something more fun, more colors and def. more wonderland-ish.
I need some bee advice on if this will work out or not! So far it’s only me and my mom and fiance making everything by hand/going out and buying things individually or online. It’s coming together but I need advice on if this will work or not.
First off, there’s my venue. We’re using a local community center.
The walls may be bare but the chairs are the same and will stay. Behind where the picture ends on the left hand corner is a huge window that overlooks the city. Right in front of that will be where we have our ceremony. (I am thinking to add a deep blue runner and silver ball accents to the chairs somehow…. also, two silver trees right behind where we stand since there is nothing under the windows)
Idea-wise, this is my inspiration ^^^^ sorry about it being pixel-y. I love the cool winter feel this picture has though.
Moving on to the reception place (these are all pics of my venue we found online)
^^^ This is a previous wedding reception set up. Just to give a feel for the room. We are planning to use peacock colors here. The wall lights will be dimmed and the main light will come from the centerpeices and candles around the room.
I wanted to use giant glass bowls with blue aqua beads on the bottom and white aqua brites. Then have the bowls filled with water and float as many white candles in each centerpeice as we can.
It’s an Alice in Wonderland theme, so I am including cute things like this in the decor/food to add a fun feel. I am also scattering tea cups of all colors throughout the room and on the tables with roses in them.
Here are the rest of my inspirations and my dress:
