I wanna chat! :)
Mostly because I want your help--post the coolest seaside inspiration you've got, if you've got any, please!!! Wedding option #1 is out, but planning again is fun :)
I'll be here! FI has plans with his friends to be playing online video games, so I'll be bored! :-)
Yay Amanda! And our weddings are close now that I've changed the date :)
Awww Im sorry your sick! Are you having a beach wedding??? thats amazing! I want a beach wedding sooo bad but the nearest beach is 3 hours away and not ideal for a wedding :|
Oh no! Sorry you're sick!
I'm here, but I want to go out. The hubs wants to stay in and watch his game (War Eagle!), and he is crazy superstititious, so here we sit.
I'll be here! What kind of seaside inspiration?
When I was dream wedding planning and the economy wasn't in the pits, I loved the idea of a destination wedding to Ireland and this beautiful place:
@liliyfaith the pictures are so beautiful.. My dream wedding is on the beach as well. We are planning on getting married in Southern California on the beach.
I hope you start feeling better soon, sorry you are sick.
Aww! My wedding isn't exactly on the beach, as I'm not a huge beach fan. I live near the beach, but there are a ton of islands and coastal waterways on which sit some BEAUTIFUL venues that are suddenly in my price range and reach now that I'm planning off season! I'll show you some of my inspiration places that I'm hoping are still available...
Option 1:

you might recognize it from several stints on stylemepretty :)
Option 2:

yeah, just a country club-ish place... but I wish you could see the view! Unfortunately their website is flash so I can't show you the water pic from their website.
Option 3:

What do you guys think? I know which one I'll be going with if it's available, but I want to know your opinions, too!
I should mention--I know these pics are a little bad, but I don't want anyone snapping up my date before I get there, so I've tried to leave them a little bland. :)
@lilyfaith I know my FI would love to get married in ireland... lol we're going in about two years though! :)
@layla thanks! Yeah that's the one I'm leaning towards myself... haha. If it's available. Places here book up like a year and a half in advance... UGH!
I'm here too!!! I have had a really rough week (well last couple of weeks) with school so I decided to just relax and chill out tonight :) Wishing I could be with my FI, but being optimistic that tomorrow marks our 6 month mark until our wedding when we will not only be living in the same state for the first time, but will be married!!! Long distance is really hard.
@cinema - My vote goes for the third picture (breathtaking!!) My other choice would be the first pic :)
I'm around! I had every intention of cleaning but I don't think that will happen. So I'm here. All by my lonesome at the moment. Sad face!
I love option 1... goodness, that's absolutely gorgeous. Love the curtain! That would be my dream option!
Awww KMSull I'm sorry!! And it's my dream option too... cross your fingers that it's still available! I'm hoping, hoping, HOPING so badly... I find out Monday morning while I'm at work... I think my boss owes me one for finishing my project six months ahead of time so I'll be checking my email (which I normally don't do while working on this project) the whole time hoping!!!
Where in SC are you getting married? I think your boss TOTALLY owes you one! That's pretty impressive. Go you! I'm sorry you're sick! I am the worst sick person on the planet.
I'm getting married in Charleston... and yeah, my boss is awesome so I don't think he really cares, but if I don't hyperfocus on work, it doesn't get done! (I suspect the last person to work on this project, the first half, really did have focus problems--it took them three times as long for the material!)
and thanks for the well wishes! I ate some ramen and feel a bit better... but I think the upstairs neighbors are practicing moon missions in space suits... well, that's what it sounds like. ugh.
I'm hanging around tonight, don't have any water inspiration though. Don't live too close to the water!
I'm glad that you are feeling better, but that is annoying about your upstairs neighbors! I will be keeping my fingers crossed that you get your dream venue. Also, congrats on getting your project finished so quickly...that is GREAT!
Oh man, I knew of a FANTASTIC venue in Charleston. My parents went to a wedding there and they said it was gorgeous... can't remember the name right now though. Ramen?! Girl, you need real food! PBJ at the least. Soup and grilled cheese at the most!
Yuck, I hope it's not the piggy flu!! Where in Charleston are you thinking about having your wedding? I think I've told you this before, but my hometown in Georgetown. :-)
Nope, I already had the H1N1! haha.
And yeah I think we talked about that! My best friends (two of them!) are from there and I know some other people there... three are getting married next summer in G-town! I would love to name these places but I am SO scared someone's gonna go book them before me! I will say they're mostly in the city and in the Mt. P area, sorta.
LOL - wow - three in G-town next summer? Are their receptions at the Winyah Indigo Society Hall, or somewhere else? Seems like half the receptions in G-town are held there. That's where my parents' was back in 1976, and my cousin's was there in March. My first wedding was in G-town, ceremony at Prince George Episcopal and reception at the Parker-Stewart House (part of the Kaminski House property).
My coworker eats ramen EVERY SINGLE DAY!!!
That's all I got. I'm brain dead tonight, I think.
Here is some oceanside inspiration + I found this blog that's cool.
Style Me Pretty has a great one featured today. You probably already saw it, tho. I'm going to go back to eating Oreo's!
I'm around... searching for a photo that I thought I had saved. Anyone seen a picture of the bridal party all having a drink at a bar?
... and since someone mentioned H1N1, guess what? I was dropping off a RX for H at the pharmacy and in walks a mom and her screaming/coughing/crying/upset/sick child and she's on the phone telling the person on the other line that her son indeed has H1N1 ... I couldn't tell you how fast I ran out of there!
I do NOT want that flu! I told MIL (they're a family of dr.'s) and she said that in no way should that child have been around other people with H1N1 and he should at least have a respirator on.
I will be so mad if I get it because she could not follow dr's orders and not bring your infected child in public for everyone to catch it.
@MsHR- SERIOUSLY!!! I am so tired of people coming into stores and coughing/ hacking/ sneezing all over the place! I'm so tired of worrying about whether or not I"m going to get sick the next day because people can't stand to be at home.
I would have been so mad if someone was at the pharmacy with their kid who is sick with an infectious disease! I understand that you can't leave the kid at home but couldn't you give your friend the money to get the prescription while you stay home with your kid?
Feel better! We're staying in tonight because I'm working in the morning... Hurray for cozy rainy nights at home with my honey!
I seriously would have ran her rx in for free if she said her kid has H1N1 and I want to keep him and his disease contained!
@HR, et. al -- I have become the posterchild for hand sanitzer lol. I refuse to get sick. I am getting so grossed out by all the nasty passengers on the train who are just sniffing and slobbering all over. Come ON people!
I wore a mask for three days and stayed in my apt alone when I got h1n1 for a week. No way was i infecting anyone!
We got vaccine at my college last week though thank god.
@mshymanroth thanks for the pic! i love sunsets on the coast :)
@peyton I'm not sure... I think most of them are having outdoor weddings at neighborhood clubhouses. one is wedgefield i think?
@KM haha I am thankful for the conversation. Also anyone in here who participated in the dressing/stuffing debate, Good Eats stuffing is on!
I have 600 + pictures from our honeymoon ... lots and lots of sunsets and ocean views!
Ooo i'm digging the poppy and aqua scheme still for a "beachy" feel that is very chic. Sigh, I miss the beach. I hope you feel better soon!
... is it totally lame that I'm completely bored out of my skull, yet don't want to go get a redbox movie cause I HATE driving in the dark?
Not lame at all KM! That's why I have netflix, redbox for the lazy!
