I just got my first TWO jobs as a wedding coordinator/planner for this September!!!
Im doing the work for free to build my portfolio, but i am crazy excited! I have ALWAYS wanted to be a wedding planner and just didnt have the guts to do it. After planning my wedding from the ground up…homemade centerpieces and decorating and all…i was asked a million times who I had hired as my planner!!! (IT WAS ME) It just gave me that extra boost of confidence!
I cant wait!
Any advice girls? Things you wish someone would have done for you on your wedding day or something your planner or coordinator did that made you super happy (or even sad!!)

congrats! The thing that made me reccomend my planner was 2 key elements
1) she was able to provide only what I needed and charged me accordingly. I didn’t need “normal DOC” which is like “week of”, I needed someone to oversee the reception setup, which happened during the ceremony. My planner was really wiolling to work with what I needed and offer helpful advice without being overbearing.
2) she and her team really went above and beyond on the day of. We had bm forget their ID and since our bartender was being really intense about drinking age- they couldn’t have drinks! Our planner drove back to the hotel to get the purses of all the girls who forgot them. The hotel was beyond impressed and said they had never heard of a planner working that hard before!
