What was your old dress? Just curious! Also, what did you not like about it? I fell in love with too many dresses... a part of me, thinks many of them could have been the one! ;)

@gibbysgirl21--Here's the old dress...I know what you mean about every dress seeming like the one. Its like buying a house, you have to buy and then not look at anything else. I think in this case tho I just went with something that was so plain that it just didn't feel special.

I was totally miserable with the custom-made dress I had made; it turned out horribly and I cried when I got it. Luckily, like you I found a dress that was perfect for me and oh what a difference it made. I love the new dress you bought!

Thanks for all the support...I was feeling guilty about spending the extra money but now I am just so excited about the new dress!
I didn't try on any trumpet style dresses initially and this is is a perfect example of why you should try a lot of different styles.

I can understand the guilt of buying a second dress, but you are so thrilled with the new one so I'm sure it was worth it! Congrats!
Yay! Congratulations! I'm glad you went with your gut. I was in the same situation before our wedding. I had purchased a gown-gown, thinking that's just what I had to do. After being emersed in the wedding industry a bit more, I realized I didn't have to wear a gown just because I was getting married. It was beautiful and I loved it, but I didn't feel like me at all. I ended up purchasing a tea-length B< dress in white, and when I put it on, I breathed a sigh of relief because I knew it was my dress. I know how amazing it feels :)
They're both pretty, but I am glad you went with the one that makes you happiest!

Ever since I picked up my dress from the alterations I have been sick to my stomach knowing that it wasn't the right dress. I tried it on again two days ago and just knew I was going to be unhappy if I didn't do something about it.
So today I see this Galina trumpet dress 50% off on Davids bridal. It was love at first sight. It is curvy and sexy and exactly what I had envisioned.
I was a little worried that FI would be mad bc he really wasn't understanding when I told him that I didn't like my first dress but he was incredibly calm when I told him I bought the new one today.
