oh and also, it is a Catholic church ceremony if that makes any difference!
I've seen some postings of people walking down the aisle to like regular songs, but for me that won't be allowed. Although if you are doing that I'd still be interested to hear what it is! Sounds like fun to me :)
i dont know what would be appropriate in a church, but i found these links online:
hope they help!

HI!
We just did our ceremony music yesterday and I was the same way - I didn't even know what pieces, what parts, where music went, etc?
Will you have an organist or musician playing? If so, go ahead and schedule your meeting with them. We met with our organist yesterday and she had some recommended suggestions for each piece/part that she played through.
Lean on your vendors and professionals. They'll help!
Even if you're not ready ot meet with them for your formal meeting, ask them your questions! At least then you can do some research on your own... We did a YouTube search for wedding music to get an idea of things we liked. So when we did go in for our meeting yesterday, we already knew things we didn't want, and FI and I had already discussed ideas of the "feeling" we wanted.
Here are some ideas for what parts you'll pick pieces for...
Prelude (probably the musician's choice since they'll play for 30 min?)
Seating of Mothers/Families
Bridesmaid Processional
Brides Processional * - we were told to pick this our FIRST, since its most important and base the other processional selections around that
Unity Candle - if you do that
Flowers to Mary - if you do that
REsponse Psalms after readings
Maybe a hymn between readings and communion
Communion - if you're doing that
Recessional
Hope that helps!!
We went to websites that had suggestions, then went to youtube to hear the songs.

Bees, I have no idea where to begin with deciding what music I want for the ceremony. I don't know what different points of the ceremony are called. Like I'm gathering that the processional is when the BMs are walking down the aisle, right?
Would any of you be willing to post what music you are using and specify what part of the ceremony it is for?? It would be a huge help and hopefully I will be able to understand where I should go from here with it.
Thank you!!
