Yeah, no lie. It's so, so bad. I don't look that pastey in day to day life (I hope) but next to my white dress I look fluorescent. The salon I got my dress from had zero natural light & we originally blamed the lighting for my blinding skin lol. My mom said I need to tan. The seamstress said I should have picked an ivory dress. I still love my dress to bits & I won't change it... so tanning it is.

Should I start tanning now or should I just do a spray tan in October? I am actually anti-tanning as it is, but I heard spray tans are uneven & leave marks on your dress?

    HELP!

Do a spray tan. I'm pale and the Versa Spa looks great on me. Try it out about a month before the wedding to make sure you like it!

You'll probably only need to start tanning a month or two in advance. i gave myself 4 weeks and was fine. Otherwise you look leathery imo

I am a super pale bride also.  ugh!  I am anti tanning also!  Last May for my brothers wedding I spray tanned at a professional salon.  There was a woman who sprayed me with an airbrusher evenly and it turned out perfect! It probably cost about $75 and lasted for about a week.  I would try it out once before the wedding. It is called Mystic Tan.

    Good Luck!!

A lot of the ladies at my work do a spray tan from Nordstrom when they have special events to go to (or in some of their cases all the time!).  It always looks really natural.  If you go to a spa I think you're less-prone to look orange (someone will also be there to spray you vs. a machine at other places).  I'm actually going tomorrow for my first time so I'll have somewhat of a glow for my engagement photos.  It's $50, but if I do it once for this and once for the wedding I think it's worth it!  I was told to do it a few days before your event...so my makeup trial/e-photos/shower is Sunday and I'm getting it done Friday.  If you do it the day of or before you will definitely rub off on your outfit :(

BUT...I also think white milky skin can be beautiful (mine is white and gets pink and splotchy though...not pretty on me).  Sometimes pale skin with some killer red lipstick can look awesome!

Do a pray tan where someone sprays you. NOT MYSTIC TAN. Let someone spray you and get all the spots evenly. I did and I was perfect besides the fact I was peeling from being sunburnt the weekend before.

I'm also very white and conscious about it.  Actually next to my pure white dress, I think it actually looks like I have some color!  I bought a few strapless tops to wear whenever I'm outside this summer, and that's basically my plan to tan up by the wedding.

Don't tan!!  If you don't normally - don't start now.  Trust me, as someone who has skin cancer GALORE in my family - looking good on your wedding day is not worth the nasty possibilities ((not saying all tan people are going to get cancer, but it is a risk factor, so why start if you don't normally)).

Get a spray tan etc if you want to get a bit of colour.  :)  I'm sure you'll look gorgeous.

If you are any where near as pale as I am, tanning will not work. You'll have to fake it.

My plan is to start with the glow mosturizer and build gradually. If that doesn't work, I'm going to get a very light touch spray at a salon.

I use Tan Towels I picked up at Sephora. Super even application and color starts showing in about 2 hours. Then you can use another towel if you want a darker color.

I am super white, combine that with my hair being lighter for the wedding, and an ivory dress, I was a monochromatic mess!

I decided to do some tanning, I started a couple weeks ago, because I have a hard time tanning - I will go up till the week of the wedding.

I have done spray tans before, and mine always wear off unevenly (causing me to look like I am covered in dirt), despite extensive exfoliation for prep, and moisturizing like crazy - no way I wanted to be looking dirty after the wedding during our mini-moon.

ME TOO! My skin is like a reflector! And I don't tan very well in all the places I need a tan the most. My face is ALWAYS over exposed in pictures, always!

if you're white you are white. why try to be someone of color if you're not? enjoy the skin you're in and be glad it's healthy. I get the tan crap.
