Thanks you guys! I have to get it altered but they said it shouldn't be too hard...the most work will be hemming since I'm short (5 feet exactly) :)

The skirt on the model looks ENORMOUS and at first I wasn't sure I was going to like it, but it looks perfect on you. It's fun and funky without being crazy overwhelming. It suits you great! Congrats!

Beautiful dress. I can also brag! I'm not getting married until September 2012. I went to try on some dresses Saturday. I tried on the dress I wanted to get married in. I tried on an Allure Couture and fell in love with it. I ordered it, and I am so happy. Also the dress was $300 cheaper than the dress I orginally wanted. In a way, I'm surprised I found my dress so fast. I thought I would be going from store to store trying to find a dress. I think I got caught in all of the bridal reality TV shows. I found the one in one store so it was meant to be.
Great dress! I got the CH515 from davids bridal that has a similar skirt. I LOVED it but it does pick up all kinds of dirt so make sure you get the length correct and make sure your bustle is high enough.
Gorgeous dress! I love it! Mine is a sample too and I was able to score this $950 beauty for $98. I still can't get over that. And you aren't the only short one! I am only 5'4" so I feel ya! lol. Again, LOVE your dress. YAY!
That looks like a lot of fun to dance in! It'd be so much fun to twirl! Great find! I'm also short too (4'10"!) so they made my dress to size since they wouldn't be able to alter it from the bottom or bust line because of the shape.

I just searched for this dress on WeddingBee today, I originally saw the style online and am thinking it could be "the one"! I am SOooo thrilled to find a real-bride photo, and can I ask if your dress is white or ivory? I did call around and found a sample in ivory for a steal, but it's several hours away (and I'm not convinced it would look good on ME - redhead and pasty white). Do you perhaps have any other photos (back view, since alterations, etc.) to post for us to swoon over?? :)
At first when I saw the model picture of your dress, I thought it would be this huge poofy thing that would swallow up a bride, but it looks SO lovely on you! its a gorgeous dress :)
Church Street Bridal has a sample of it!!!!! It's set to go up on the blog tomorrow. No joke! I originally wrote "next week" but went to look at the blog and saw that it's up tomorrow.
I never saw this one in person, but it looks pretty in the pictures!

Awe, I love your dress! You look soooo pretty! When I bought my gown, the store manager gave me my veil and hair comb for free. The two items totaled together were over 200.00, so that was really awesome of her to do that for me.
OMG, I did it! I just purchased this dress on eBay (new with tags, unaltered sample) from a bridal shop that just happened to be located in Minneapolis, near me! I'm picking it up in person tomorrow, unless I can't there over lunch today. Size 8, ivory, and only $349!!! I have found 2 others (used) for sale at over $1000 each. They said this one is in perfect condition, and even offer a 3-day return policy on their eBay sales.
I've never tried it on in person, but purchased the Say Yes to the Dress epison on Amazon for $1.99 (season 4, episode), as this is one of the dresses their customer - beauty queen Bre Gant - tried on during the show. I love it, love it, love it on all the "real brides" I have found pics of. Wish me luck!!!

I went wedding dress shopping with my mom and grandmother...and I found my dress! It was on a sample sale rack (I definitely examined it for an hour to make sure there weren't any big issues). I fell in love but it was still higher than I wanted to spend, but then I managed to talk them down more than what it was marked...and in addition, they included my veil and earrings! Squeal! It's Pattis Diore 1538. Totally not what I envisioned for myself, but I love how it's different and both mom and grandma teared up when I walked out of the dressing room.
Did anybody else get an awesome deal that they weren't expecting?
