I'm still a little hesitant about ordering an e-ring online!

emilypaige:  I got mine online at Schubach’s and couldn’t be happier! Maybe since you are hesitant you could try on the Rosado’s Box one, to make sure you like the style and shape, then order from Moissy Co. I would think Moissy Co has a return policy?

emilypaige:  I just got my engagement ring from MoissaniteCo and I love it. I was nervous about not seeing it/touching it/trying it on but their exchange and return policies comfort me. You have 14 days from the day it arrives to decide if you like it. I think you just have to pay for shipping back, which isn’t much, considering regular shipping from MoissaniteCo is included in your order at no additional charge.

The only thing is that you can’t take the security tag off the ring, so make sure you really, really, like it before taking that tag off because this voids the return/exchange policies. I recommend emailing Chris at sales@moissaniteco.com (I’m pretty sure that’s the correct email address) with any questions instead of contacting customer service via chat. While the chat is more convenient, I unfortunately didn’t find them as helpful or accurate as talking to Chris.

RosadosBox is also very beautiful and their craftsmanship is absolutely amazing, but I always choose saving money. Let me know how it goes! 🙂

emilypaige:  You’re very welcome! I’ve been there, believe me. I’m so glad that I finally have my ring and I don’t have to worry about searching anymore, lol! I had a bad experience trying to get my ring earlier this summer, so I was anxious to find one and be happy with it.

Since you wear a size 4 and are planning on getting a solitaire, I think the 9x7mm will be absolutely gorgeous! Depending on how deep the cut is, oval cuts may tend to face up smaller than round diamonds, so I would say for for the larger size if you can afford to do so and enjoy larger sized stones.

I wear a size 6.75 and I ordered a 8x6mm (1.85 carat) radiant in a cushion halo and it’s perfect on my hand, so I think yours will look great.

Try going to local jewelers that offer oval cuts and try some on. It definitely helps seeing them on your hand. I went to Helzberg Diamonds and Tiffiany’s to try on their radiant canary diamonds to get a feel for the color and shape before going ahead with my canary moissanite purchase.

In the end, it is up to you and your tastes. If you don’t wear much jewelry or are more reserved, step down to a 8x6mm. Many bees talk about ring shrinkage — after you wear a ring for awhile, the stone seems smaller to you — but I have yet to have this happen.  I’m sure no matter what you get, you’ll love it! 🙂

My DH ordered a loose stone from Moissanite Co for my ring, and he told me later that he was nervous about getting a stone online, but their customer service and return policies really put him and ease and convinced him to give it a shot.

I don’t know the other company, though, so while I suggest Moissanite Co, I can see the appeal of a brick-and-mortar store.

emilypaige:  Aw, thank you for the kind words and compliments! I’m glad I could help 🙂 I’m also glad that you don’t feel like you’re settling. I wanted my FI to love my ring too, so while I was hestiant on the infamous green tint in their canary stones, he loved it and said that’s what helped make it unique and set it apart which I never thought of before, but appreciated his perspective.

I bet your ring is going to be stunning! Ovals were my second choice if I didn’t find a setting with a radiant that I loved. Believe me, I went back and forth between the two! I can’t wait to see your ring when it arrives, and of course hear the whole proposal story! 🙂

emilypaige:  Fiance and I ordered from moissanitoco, and we couldnt be happier. They were quick to answer our questions, did custom special sizing at no extra cost, shipped fast, and the ring is gorgeous. I was super wary of ordering online too, but I wouldn’t change a think.  I also was checking out rosados box as well! I live in chicago but never quite got in to the store.

I would pick Rosados Box because everything is hand made there. MoCo gets their settings from Stuller/Unique Settings of NY/etc., which could be fine, but they are mass produced. Also, MoCo doesn’t have a phone number, so if you have problems you have to rely on e-mail communication only. I like the comfort in knowing that Rosados has a brick and mortar store, too. My wedding band is from there and I’m soooo happy with the craftsmanship and how it turned out.

emilypaige:  Oh, and as for your three E’s, Rosados Box uses recycled metal, so even more eco friendly!

FutureDrAtkins:  I’d like to point out that MoissaniteCo’s settings are made from recycled metals as well. They have a vendor from which their settings are made, but each one is made to order and are not mass produced. This was important to me when I ordered my ring, and why I also struggled with choosing between RosadosBox and MoissaniteCo 🙂

peacock0320:  Thanks, I wasn’t aware of that. My first ring was from them and it fell apart 🙁 They actually refunded me and discontinued it from their product line. I am glad you are happy with yours!

FutureDrAtkins:  Oh no! I’m sorry that happened to you, I guess the design wasn’t structurally sound or something 🙁 I’m glad you got a refund. My first ring my FI and I tried getting was a dud too. We tried the forbidden Diamond Nexus fruit to save us some money. Big N-O! The important thing is that you got the right ring for you in the end 🙂
