welcome!
wow! that's a lot of questions! in order to get answers to all of them, it might be best to break them into different posts (ex: "here's my dress & colors, what kind of BM dress should i get?", "should we invite kids or have an adult only reception?"). there are lots of posts on adults only reception and the pain that goes with them on the boards, so do some hunting!
@elliestan: thanks :) I will try that!
I really don't have much time in my hands since I work full time and go to school part time, have a really hyperactive 3 yr old and a wedding to plan lol, so I thought I would give it a shot in one single post :) but not a good idea! huh?
@futureladyg: heehee well at least you have 11 months left! sometimes when there's lots of questions in one post it gets a bit overwhelming and people don't respond (i know from experience! x_x)
here's a super cute gallery that has kind of a 50s 60s vibe :]
lovely:)
but I am going for something more formal...
I have purchased a few candelabras
that I plan to incorporate.
I love the 50's!
You can have your bm's wear a 50's style dress.. below is one exaple

oh but there would be a problem...
I have 10 bridesmaids and a couple are very well rounded---ummm so I don't think they would be happy to wear a very fitted dress :/
You can search on line for rockabilly dresses, and look for more of a swing dress so that it is not so fitted.
pinupgirlclothing.com also carries plus sizes.. good luck!

Hello hive,
I am fairly new to the site, but from the little that I have seen the times that I have had a chance to log in, everything is incredible!!! kuddos to all of you that take the time to share your wonderful ideas and projects!!
I am 11 months away from my wedding, let me refrase that...11 months away from MY HUGE WEDDING...We have a 600+ guest list
....that is including children ofcource. I am still trying to convince my fiance to have NO KIDS at the wedding but he feels that alot of people won't be able to make it, if we were to note that on the invite...how do you all feel or think about that? I personally think that Weddings are for grown ups but I may be wrong.
On another note, I LOVE VINTAGE
...I have ordered an Allure Couture dress that is covered by lace, satin, and lots of Bling...IT'S BREATHTAKING!!...I want a Vintage Romantic Theme for the big day!...what do you all think my bridesmaids dresses should be like?
At first I was willing to waste up to 8k on decor, hiring a professional to take care of it, but that meant sacrificing my honeymoon, which I honestly don't want to do!! so Bees can you all please share with me any DIY IDEAS that you all may have to go with my Theme?!!! PLEASE PLEASE...
My colors are ivory, soft pink, dusty rose, gold and raspberry! I want lots of candles!
THANK YOU ALL IN ADVANCE!!
