I think I may need to be off the waiting list because we are tentatively planning a wedding for next summer. My fiance is in another country and can’t easily come here, so we talked yesterday about a destination wedding. Once we are married I would apply for a spouse visa, which I heard is easier to get than a fiance visa. We are planning on St Vincent and the Grenadines. Since he lives so far, we haven’t exactly gotten engaged and I’m not sure we will ever officially do so. But since I am beginning the wedding planning, I guess I’m not a bee in waiting. whoohoo!

Congrats! I’m in a similar boat 🙂
We’ve already established that we will get married, it will be in the courthouse, with a family party afterwards. And last night he told me he wants a honeymoon too! Now I’m just “waiting” for the official go ahead to start looking at time frames or a proposal. Whichever comes first

@txgal: Do you want me to take you off the waiting list, or do you want to stay on until a proposal? Either way is cool with me. 🙂 It’d be funny for you to come off the list before you even appeared in an official waiting list post!

@buzzyplush, I guess just take me off because he has “proposed” as much as he can from so far away. I don’t really want an engagement ring since he’d have to mail it to me, lol. He wants to start planning a wedding for next year so for all intents and purposes, I’m engaged. Just need to pick a date. 🙂
