Hi all. I am wanting to have a go at DIYing my invites but have no idea where I’m supposed to get the images I’m wanting from. Well not so much images as the flourishes, floral bursts that people print on the edge of their invites.
Can someone help me please, I’m tearing my hair out, I must have done a million google searches

Have you looked at just regular cliip art? Or googled “wedding invite templates”?

What program are you using to design them? I use Photoshop brushes but there are other options too.

World Label has a pinboard full of clip-arty stuff to use:
Also, when you download fonts, sometimes they allow you to download flourishes as well. For example, I downloaded Respective for my friend’s programs & paper products: http://www.dafont.com/respective.font You can also download swashes.
Here’s some free flourishes:

http://www.vecteezy.com has some pretty awesome stuff, alot is free, but there are also paid items as well, so you just have to search a little….and the really nice thing about the vector graphics is that they can be resized without getting pixelated, so you can shrink and stretch as much as you want with out it getting all distorted.
Also as PP mentioned, if you’re using any program that includes an option for “brushes” such as photoshop, paintshop, etc, you can find a ton of freebie downloads for those too.
Good luck on your DIY invites. I’ve been playing with mine quite a bit lately too…in fact just posted the publicly safe versions (last names and address of venue redacted) in this thread here…not flourishes or anything fancy…but they’re totally us…and our wedding so I’m happy with them to this point… 🙂 You can check them out here if you like.
