BrookeClouser:

Implantation bleeding usually occurs 6-12 days after ovulation (when the embryo implants).  If bleeding occurs during this time range I think it could be implantation bleeding, so it sounds possible.  I bet you could test this weekend (maybe Sunday?), I read a home pregnancy test should be accurate 4-5 days after implantation.

I had implantation bleeding 9DPO, I had quite a bit lasted until 11 or 12 DPO.

However, bleeding in the luteal phase does NOT always mean implantation. There are hormone shifts during that time that can cause spotting. More often than not, spotting in the luteal phase does not lead to pregnancy.

BrookeClouser:  It sounds like what happened to me with my frist pregnancy.  It was one day of bright red when I wiped.  I was told it was probably implantation bleeding- I also had some serious abdominal pain one one side that was sharp and short lived.

I had a tiny bit of bleeding 6dpo.

I knew exactly what it was…I had to wait a little while to test…but it was positive. Good luck!

BrookeClouser:  Mine seems abnormal and could maybe have something to do with the fact that it was my first month off of BCP, but I had uquite a bit of bleeding- I thought it was my period (they were really light, but enough to need a pad or tampon).  And it lasted at least 3 days, possibly 4 (I didn’t pay attention at the time because I thought it was my period lol).  So it was either implantation bleeding or something completely wacky…but it was at 9 DPO (my ovulation date is based on later ultrasounds FWIW)

<br />If you O’d on Sept 28th, you are 12DPO. I would definitely test. Do you chart your BBT?

I had a tiny bit of implantation bleeding – purple-brown blood about 9 days post ovulation. I had to wait 5 more days for a positive test … But had so many other symptoms, I just knew implantation had happened.

My cycles used to be pretty standard 28 days, then suddenly they started to vary between 25 and 28 days.. the body does strange things.
