Implantation bleeding at 5 DPO?

I believe the average is USUALLY 6 – 12 days post ovulation. It would be a little early, but I’d say at this point it may be more likely to be implantation bleeding than your period. How long’s your usual luteal phase?

I don’t intend to get your hopes up, though – I usually have a 10ish day luteal phase. I was thrilled one cycle when, on 5 – 6 DPO, I started getting some brown CM which lasted for about a day. Nope…it was my period, far earlier than usual.

Wait it out a day, see what happens.

@Lollypops:  I’d say 5 isn’t that far off from the “typical” 6-12 so it’s possible. I’ve had cramping from 5-7dpo so I’m wondering if that could be a sign if implantation this early as well. Keep us updated in a week or so!

@Lollypops:  still 7dpo I’m pretty sure. how about you? I’m planning on testing on Thanksgiving (or the day before if I can’t hold out)

@Lollypops:  you are much more patient than I! AF is due nov 30ish, if Im timing things right. I never make it to december! I usually have to test at least once early… If it’s negative, I’ll give it up unless AF doesn’t come. anyways, here’s hoping we both get a BFP! I’ll check back once in a while to give/get updates!

@Lollypops:  I read implantation can be from 7-12DPO but more realistically 9-11DPO. It’s not impossible but I’m thinking mostly likely too early! FX!!

Ovulation can happen as early as 4DPO (not too common but it happens, I truly believe that’s when it happened for me). So it’s possible!

@Lollypops:  I think it’s likely.  I have also read that you can get a positive test 1-2 days after implantation. So a test will sure answer your question. Have you tested?

@Lyndzo:  I think you meant implantation can occur as early as 4dpo?

either way, if you implanted early, does that mean you got your BFP early too? I’m curious. I think I’m 8 or 9 dpo but had cramping 4-6dpo. Wondering if that was implantation if I could get a positive by now. But… Really trying to wait til Tuesday or Thursday.

If you implant earlier, you should get a BFP sooner. I think the range is something like 2 – 5 days after implantation bleeding begins before you could see a positive urine test. I believe blood tests are usually 2 – 4 days before they’re positive. Best wishes for all you ladies.

It could be, but there isn’t really any way to tell. I stumbled across this flow chart a while ago and feel it could be applicable! Here’s to hoping you get your BFP soon!
