@Nona99:  I had the same face palm moment about 6 months ago! I completely understand.

I hate, HATE,  when parents get their kids an animal as a gift, like a kitten, puppy, and especially bunnies for Easter. Holiday gift animals are more likely to be neglected, given away, or end up in shelters.

But a puppy is the best kind of impulse gift? Right? You can never have too many!

(Well… almost never… and DH might disagree with me on that one, LOL!)

@Nona99:  Lol oh no! Hopefully they’ll train the cutie and realize what a big responsibility a puppy is. I know people who still dont quite understand, yet they wonder why the damn thing tears shit apart constantly.

Oh…that’s a phrase you never want to see!  Somethings just shouldn’t be a surprise. Congrats you now have puppy!

@IheartUFC:  I agree, though I don’t mind if parents give the kid something like a collar or food bowl or something like that. If they give them that and then tell them that they’ll be getting a pet the next month then it doesn’t seem as bad to me.

@Nona99:  . . . it vanished? Did she look for the dog at all?
