I am finding myself in a beauty rut. When I was dating my husband and when we were engaged, I always took the time to do my hair and make up nicely. Now I find myself rushing to get ready for work in the morning and going in with just a touch of lipstick in terms of make up. I have the necessary hair tools (flat iron and curling iron), and basic make up, but other than flat ironing my hair, I do very little in terms of taking the time to apply make up, etc. I am thinking about purchasing some new shadows and lip products, but I’m not sure it’s worth the investment if I won’t be taking the time to use them. I have new lip products that are still in their original packaging.
I put a lot of time and effort into my new job, but I’ve forgotten to also prioritize my beauty routine.
Has anyone else experienced a change in this regard after getting married or starting a new job?

I have all but stopped using makeup lately but in part it was because I was having problems with my contacts and couldn’t stand any eye makeup. I haven’t started back even though I had vision correction surgery over 2 years ago. To me, I don’t think having a ton of makeup on is a priority or a plus at my job (work with a ton of guys).

Not really, I ALWAYS have my makeup done for work, full face. Sometimes, I won’t have enough time because things are running late and I can’t do my hair, so I just throw in some leave in conditioner and frizz control.. I also carry a mini straighening iron , to fix my hair on my breaks if I need it.
Luckily, my hair is mostly straight and a little fluffy, so not curling or straightening it isn’t a huge deal unless it’s very hot/humid [then it turns into an afro…]
I allow myself an hour every morning for shower/makeup/hair.
