I'm not far into the planning yet but one thing that has been really weighing on me is the wedding party.  FI is from here (New Orleans) so all of his friends and potential groomsmen are here with the exception of my brother who lives in Dallas with my family.  I have several good friends here but the friends I've known the longest are in Texas.

I was MOH in my best friend's wedding and would like her to be my MOH (she's my BEST friend) but I'm concerned because she is several hours away.  I want her to be included in things but she and her husband run their own business and are very busy so I know it will probably be a problem, especially when it comes to planning showers, bachelorette, etc.

So as I was thinking about it, I though about possibly having a local MOH as well (because the other person I would consider for MOH lives here).  Has anyone else done this?  What was it like?  Did the out of town MOH resent the local MOH, etc? I'm so confused and not sure what to do.

P.S. When FI was talking about his attendants, he asked if they could be his "best men" because he didn't think he could put one above the others.  I told him that was fine he just needed to make sure duties were delegated.  Maybe I could have my "best girls" and do the same so that no one feels slighted?  UGH - so confused!!

I live in MT. My MOH lives in Wisconsin, and my other 2 bridesmaids live in Las Vegas, so I understand! You could have all of them be the same. I have a MOH just for the fact of having one! But, one of my BM is helping plan the wedding. Also, I have a friend here that wants to help plan my parties (such as bridal, bachelorette, etc) and she isn't even in the wedding! I think its more just a title for me, but doesn't really delegate roles. My "MOH" will stand next to me though. Hope that helps!
