how about doing the dinner and movie night in? i think it is nice to spend time with the sweetie fixing something yall both enjoy and watching a movie together.
I agree with vttp926. The best nights with FI is when I make a nice home cooked dinner and we have time to sit and just talk and then snuggle up to a movie :"]] It;s relaxing for us since we spend most of our time running around like crazy!
Are there any good places to hike around you? That's a favorite free thing for us to do. Or, we go to the local art museums on their sponsered free nights. There's always fre or cheap lectures here, too, but that's partly because we live in Boston and it's this intelllectual metropolis (nerd alert!). Sometimes we just do long walks around town, but again, it's a city with lots of cool historical things to see.
Every week we look in the local papers to see what's on in our area.
Last week we went to a free comedy night that was great fun.
Most art galleries and museums have free nights.
Plan a picnic on the carpet.
Plan to cook a different ethnic meal together. Research ahead of time and plan an appropriate beverage.
Play board games-invite friends if you like.

ok - so I'm curious - what do you all do for your "date nights"?...We love going to see a movie and get dinner - but anymore it's close to $70 to do that, in one night! $20 (or more) for two tickets + $10 for pocorn/drink - and usually about $40 - $50 on dinner...and that's just at a place like Red Robin!
I know one thing we are planning on doing - come September - is hit up the high school football games around here. I used to be in Marching band in high school (yes, i'm a geek, lol) - and remember that football games were always fun (and cheap!)
What do YOU guys do for In-Expensive and/or plain CHEAP date nights?
