So I was watching my own personal "Say yes to the dress" marathon last night thanks to my DVR. I love this show!!!
I noticed on every episode the consultant asks "How do you want to look at your wedding?"
Some people say "like a princess", "I wanna look sexy" etc...
So I started thinking about what I would say and I finally came up with a word.
Ethereal! I want to look like a dream on my wedding day. So I was wondering....How do yall want to look on your wedding day?
Great post! I want to look romantic/feminine. I'm super independent and practical... not very girly... so I think it'll be so much fun to go a bit out of my element for the big day :)
eeeee awesome post!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! can i answer? i want to look demure and alluring, sophisticated yet classic.
Yes romantic is another word I would use too. A big princess dress is just not my style i guess, although I do see the fun in dressing like that for one day :)
damn.good.
except I typed "damn.goo." instead at first; oops.
guess I should look for a flowy gown?
I want to look romantic and comfortable! I knew it was "the one" when I could actually breathe in it and dance around the store comfortably! Sounds funny but I want to enjoy every minute!
@honeybear- yea... princess is just not a look i'm going for. my mom took my bro's fi wedding dress shopping last week and when she got back she just said: there is NO danger of you two looking similar on your wedding days... she doesn't just want to look like a princess, she wants to BE a princess for the day heh. I"m just glad we have such different taste! She can have the crinoline and jewels and tiara. I;ll take the lace and feathers :)
@daydream- hahaha seriously made me laugh out loud! I dont know why I am in such a good mood this monday morning lol
like romance. :) I love this post!
And dream.goo is a close second, lol
I want to look stunning :)
ahahaaa damn goo...lol. That would be goo too...lol
My buzz words for my wedding day look were "classic" and "elegant". I wanted to be able to look at the photos years later and still love my look. :)
I want to look beautiful and timeless. I am worried that my strapless dress and pick up skirts may forever date me as 2000's, but I'm hoping that enough other details will be timeless, elegant, and "modern vintage" enough to cover it :)
I want to look flirty yet elegant. I think I have achieved the flirty with my ruffle skirt and flower in my naturally wavy hair. I think I have acheived the elegant with the lace and pleated organza on the gown. See some of my previous posts for pics of the dress.
I want to look elegant. I want to feel like myself when I am wearing my gown. I definitely did not want to be a princess for a day.
Yeah I want to be subtlety (is that a word?? lol) sexy. I want my husband to be like....oooo i cant wait until we get time alone tonight! lol but I def dont want to look slutty
The words I went for were "classic" and "royalty." I also want to be able to look back at my wedding photos and not think, "Oh man, that is SO 2000's!"
@futuremrsreed- I am sooo scared of that happening. Looking back at pictures 30 years from now and them looking really outdated a la the 80's lol
floaty and confident! I want to be able to walk down the aisle without slouching or feeling insecure about being in the spotlight.
I want to look classy in a bohemian way. Long flowy dress, flowers in my hair, barefoot...
Timeless / Classic I want to just look fresh and clean... wear the dress not have it wear me!
I'm all about the romance but definitely with a princess edge! Everyone who knows me knows that I should have been a princess so I am not even going to try and deny it on my wedding day... I figure its the only day I can dress up in a massive sparkly gown and not look like a fool.
I like this post!
My idea is a cross between a midsummer's night dream and hippie chic...We'll see if I can pull it off!
Classic and glamorous. More Old Hollywood glam than "bling-bling" glam.
I want to look like a Bohemian Princess.. Princess so I can have my big, poofy ball gown that I've always wanted, and Bohemian so I can be covered in flowers.. another thing I always wanted =)
I remember when I was looking at dresses I explained to my mom and the saleslady that I wanted something "Audrey". :)
I love say yes to the dress too! I have them all taped on my dvr and i watch them whenever i need entertainment =). I want to look romantic, elegant, and classy.
def vintage and classic. I want to look back in 20 years and not shreek lol I want a long lace dress with flowers in my hair :)
