Oh yes. Especially if you put said centerpieces on a silver platter or mirror. I love this idea, by the way.
My parents went to a wedding a couple of months ago that did this. They were able to bring them home and I snatched it up as soon as I could.
What they did was fill a large tall vase about 1/3 way of those water pearls, stuck a fake tealight in the bottom and placed a orchid in the middle. It was really pretty and from what my mom said they had it on the table with more tea-lights around the base.
I wish I could take a picture of it for you, but I'm using the vase for somethingelse now.
We are using the tea lights as well. They are an easy way to light up the table and at a cheaper price than uplighting. The "brighter" the jelly balls/water pearls, the more the table will feel brighter as well if you do not want to use any candles.
I think that would be nice! Uplighting can definitely add up quickly. I like the idea of the jelly balls with the lights!

...How about cylinders filled with those jelly balls/water pearls and pink floralytes as centerpieces? Has anyone tried this? Would that "light up" the room?
