I’ve been putting off buying a longline bra for way too long, afraid of getting the right fit and going into sticker shock. I resolved to buy a few online and send back all but one. Price solved. But I was still worried about fit. Phooey. I worked up the courage and headed to the bra shop in town (clearly, the store’s technical name.) I walked in, looked lost, I’m sure, and when asked, told the sales lady that what I was looking for.
She offered to size me first–sure why not? Turns out, I am TWO cups bigger than I thought and FOUR inches smaller in band size! What news. But also I feel like my boobs are huge now. The first long line she handed me fit like a glove. AND it went all the way down to my hips, something I was finding only in bustiers online. Pouch hidden. Sized Correctly. The biggest downfall came when I found out that the hip length ones don’t come with straps, but she told me to take it home and jump around–if it moved, bring it back. She also promised it wouldn’t move. Best of all–it cost less than the ones I was looking at online!
I know it’s silly to be so excited about a bra of all things, but it was something I was really concerned about. I know it’s fluff, but maybe it’s better to ramble here than to FI. Woohoo Bra!
