I am an hour away from Ann Arbor, but the shop where I am having my dress altered is relatively inexpensive--$100-110 for bodice and hem alterations. I can give you the number to call if you are interested. I am not sure what their policy is on dresses purchased from another store, however. I do have a seamstress' contact information. Perhaps she would be willing to do it if you are up for traveling that far.
