IGabrielle Odom-Livesy did the (and my) make-up and hair for my best friend's wedding. She is also a friend but pro trained. If you want a non-professional (but good if I may say so myself) MUA, I could do it. I'd also be cheaper than a pro. I will try to scout some pics of her work (and mine if you care to see). BTW, sorry these are somewhat lame suggestions but I don't know of that many people up here that will do a great job. As you probably can tell, judging by the crickets on this post, their aren't that many good recs up here.
thank you heather for posting! does this person have a website/portfolio? you can also PM me her contact info if you wouldn't mind!
i actually posted this over on the classifieds and have gotten a couple of responses from that!

Are there African American or other ladies of color out there getting married in the Hudson Valley that have any hair & make-up recommendations? This would be for getting hair & makeup for myself and bridesmaids/moms done onsite at Round Hill. I have natural, super curly hair that I haven't the faintest idea what to do with for the wedding! I've been doing some research online and haven't seen anything/anyone that moves me. I'd rather not have to import someone from Manhattan, so would love to find someone more local. Let me know!
