Hi Applestar, I'm trying to help out a friend who is planning a January 1, 2011 wedding, one week before yours! Her budget is more like $0, but please keep us updated on this board if you find a great, affordable venue and I'll try to do the same :)
I am looking at some places this weekend and I will update you! Thanks for responding.
Is you friend looking for a formal or casual wedding and about how many guest?
You might take a look at Regale! at DC Ranch: http://www.sos4weddings.com/
We're getting married there in March, and the packages are affordable and include a lot. It's an indoor/outdoor space, and has a lofty, modern feel to it. The owner is super nice, and it's still new, which is fun.
Good luck!
:) I am taking a look at Regale today actually @ 5. I hope I like it there because Venue hunting is giving me a headache!
Wooo, I like Regale! It was affordable for being in North Scottsdale. I would definitely recommend to check this venue out! It was very pretty and I love the set up. You get the indoor and outdoor feel. The indoor was big enough but just right for a wedding with a 150 guest. Very modern andcontemporary.
The other place I was thinking is the Phoenix Country Club. I see them tomorrow.
I heard about the Stone House closing down from my Planner. I had checked it out and went with Boojum Tree Hidden Gardens. Have you checked out Venue at the Grove. It is unique South Phoenix venue, I believe 27th ave & Baseline. They offer very reasonable packages and very friendly and accomodating. There is also Starfire Golf Club in Scottsdale, also a good value and good for a smaller size wedding. Good Luck!
You might want to check out Inspirador in downtown Chandler. It has an elegant contemporary feel and has a gallery that would make for a great location for cocktail hour.
@Applestar13 We're going to check out Chapel @ The Farm it's in Gilbert. They don't have all inclusive packages but they do have great prices. We're shooting for a budget of around $5000. The also let you bring in your own alcohol and other vendors.
Oh and we also liked Val Vista Lakes Events but they didn't have our date open.
We're getting married at Val Vista Lakes in Gilbert: Outdoor Ceremony, Indoor Reception. It's quite beautiful! You have to bring all your preferred vendors, but to me that is a HUGE plus (esp. when it comes to alcohol). We're hitting up BEVO for the booze & having a buddy bartend for us. My girlfriend recently had her ceremony in field behind Joe's Farm Grill in Gilbert. The grapevines were such a dreamy backdrop.
Anyhoo...Best of Luck!
We are getting married at The Inspirador in Chandler....Best decision we have made! i LOVE it!

Hello all! I am in need of a Venue in the Phoenix Metro area for a January wedding. Originally, I booked at The Stone House but they are being foreclosed and now I am in search for another budget venue. :( :(
@ The Stone House, their all inclusive package including facility rental, flowers, cake, DJ, coordinator and etc was 15,000 - 16,000. I am looking for another place with that budget in mind.
I love the atmopshere of The Stone House because it was quite small but big enough for a wedding with about 130 guest. I was afraid of going into a ballroom wedding because it would be too big for a small wedding. I also love the idea of an outdoor wedding even though it is a January wedding. I love the warmth of space heaters.
Here are some places that I have in mind however, I have absolutely no clue on how much they cost. I figure I would ask you bees before I fall in love with a venue that is out of my budget. :(
Phoenix Country Club, The W, Hotel Valley Ho, Ashley Manor, Waterfront....and I am completely gone blank from there. I know that The W is way out of my budget but I am looking for a modern/comtempory theme.
Please keep in mind that my budget total for the venue + vendors or an all inclusive package is 15,000 to 16,000.
Thank you in advance!
