I think you should be more flexible about the date if you are dying to use Greystone. Having one date isn't going to work probably. Good Luck though.
Good Luck on finding a sponsor Christie! I'm sending good vibes your way. I totally understand the "auspicious" date. Being Vietnamese my family was very strict on our auspicious date as well. I ended up having to settle on a summer wedding when I really wanted a winter one. Hope you find a sponsor.
I don't live in Beverly Hills, but am curious to know...what exactly does "sponsoring a wedding" mean? Maybe I'm the only one that needs clarification on that...it's the Friday stupidness setting in! =)
By sponsoring, I meant allowing me to borrow a copy of their utility bill so that I may book Greystone.
I understand that it's personal/private info. But I thought I'd try anyway.
Is this correct -- they will let anyone book an event 10 months out or earlier, but only Beverly Hills residents can book the place 11 months out or longer? So, you are looking for someone to help you reserve your booking, not sponsor your wedding. I think you need to clarify your post because the word "sponsor" conjurs up the idea of paying for someone to most people. I know it is samantics, but perhaps if you start a new post and reword it you would have better luck. I would also mention that you are willing to pay the person for their services. In the post, you also should mention that you would be leaving the deposit, so "God forbid" anything goes wrong, you are out the deposit and not them. Clarify and you will get better results!
Aww for gods sake! I live in Beverly Hills! Let me know if I can help you. If it is something I can do, I will.

I am in love with Greystone Mansion. But I'm not a resident of Beverly Hills, which means I can't book the place until 10 months before our wedding. Our wedding date is also not flexible as it's an auspicious date selected for the two of us. Which means that we basically have this one and only day left which is not yet booked.
So, I was wondering if anyone, who's a Beverly Hills resident, would be kind enough to sponsor us so that we may book Greystone 2 months earlier. We would need a copy of a recent utility bill. For your security, you could cross off all important info (i.e. phone number, account number, meter number) but please leave your name so they know who is sponsoring.
Would anyone be able to help us? This is our one and only chance left for reserving Greystone.
Desperate for help,
Christie
