I have no wedding date yet, but I am searching for a unique Seattle wedding venue. I think I know of all the usual Seattle wedding venues from the little bit of research I have done so far, and I am still searching. Our ideal location would be a mid-century modern space (building, library, house). Does anything like this exist that can be rented in the Seattle area? So far, the only thing that comes close is the SAM Olympic Sculpture Park building, which is pricey. But that is the idea we are leaning toward.
I know this may not be possible, so if you have a killer idea that maybe isn't exactly mid-century modern, I will take other suggestions. I am just not into the boat/mansion/church idea.
follow this link- it should take you to a wedding in Seattle and the reception was held at the Ruins on Queen Anne Hill. The article said it was one of the best kept wedding secrets in Seattle.
I'm not exactly sure what you are looking for, but something similar to the SAM Olympic Sculpture Park is the downtown Seattle Public Library. I went to a wedding there a few years ago and it's a popular spot for engagement photos (check out Mrs. Strawberry's post)
Herban Feast! It's in SoDo and it's gorgeous. Check out their venue at http://www.herbanfeast.com/venues-sodopark.html. I'm getting married there in January and they have been nothing but helpful. It's great because
a) they use local, sustainable resources for their food and
b) everything is included (tables, chairs, etc)
c) there is a bunch of parking around that they let you use

It is unique and very reasonably priced.
This is a really unique space in Georgetown.

Other venues I really like are the Seattle Asian Art Museum (SAAM)...you can view a real wedding by going to

And DeLille Cellars (not in Seattle, but close by) - goregous house and property!
