So, I’m not really a poster per say here on the wedding bee, I’m more of a responder but I think this warrants a post. I am currently a waiting bee.. I’ve been waiting since Oct. 2013 and my anxiety about a proposal and my wedding day has shifted to a quest for knowledge and insight on marraige, being married, and what that all means. I’m 25 and still learning about myself and therefore I want to equip myself with enough knowledge so that I can maintain relationship with my SO, both pre- and post-wedding, that is loving, forgiving, unselfish and where the lines of communication are always open.
With that said, I have been doing some reading. I have read Committed by Elizabeth Gilbert and I am currently reading and the Five Love Languages by Gary Chapman, and so far I have been able to gather little nuggets of wisdom from each. I dont expect to find all of the answers in books or throughout the internet but I was wondering if there were any resources that you lovely ladies used in your preparation to be a wife. SO and I are in a long distance relationship and pre-marital counselling although ideal, is a little harder to navigate for us. Still I would like to know about all experiences.
Thanks a million in advance bees!!!
