Hi - where do you want to stay in NYC and what is your price range? I think the Murray Hill Inn (located on 30th b/t Lex and 3rd) and the Ramada Inn (located on 30th and Lex) are less expensive than some of the other hotels in NYC. You can also try Priceline where you name your price..that might give you a good deal...or any of the other travel websites, like Travelzoo or Hotwire, etc.
chill! I would totally put you up for the night, cept you and the hubs would have to sleep old school on a twin bed; which won't be too much fun with a packed house. When are you getting in for the weekend? Want to hit up the running of the brides with me if you get in on Friday? I figure I might stop by for a peek after work to see if anything is still left. But then again, what would Chris do... lemme know
We found a place called Gem Hotel or something or another for 135 a night. Thanks Lovebird- I'll PM you! :)
Hey Chill,
Welcome to the big apple!
I am going to a wedding event the first weekend in March that you might be interested in. Its called the New York Wedding Workshop. I read about it yesterday in Daily Candy and got $10 off each of our tickets for saying I saw it there. I bought my tickets off the website - www.nyweddingworkshop.com. It's supposed to be mostly like a cocktail style party with different vendor lounges instead of a regular bridal show. Maybe I'll see you there!
For hotels, you should totally check out Trip Advisor - they always have great ratings of some of the lower priced hotels. Check out the Washington Square Park Hotel too!
My florist is doing this this event so I'm going. I totally want Rita Hazan to do my hair- maybe I'll look like Brittney
.
I am so excited for this event!! My fiance and I are getting married this Fall in nyc! I am actually going to bring my mom and my MOH...i think they are even more excited than i am, i know they can't wait to try cake!!
Actually one of the main reasons I wanted to go is because most of the vendors that are going to be there have been among those recommended to me at some point by friends. It's like the nyc all-star wedding showcase...haha, anyhow see you guys there!
Jane

Hello Bees, I thought I'd post this question here since we have so many NYC brides. I'm going to be in town that weekend for some fun and I'm looking for a hotel that is not incredible expensive. We're even up for hostels as long as we can get a private bath. We dont' want to spend too much on a hotel since we're already spending so much on the festivities.
Also, are there any wedding related fun going on that Saturday? Any shows?
Thanks!!!
CHill
