I love Clinique Quickliner eyeliner! The only tricky part is that it’s very creamy at first, and then hardens after a few seconds, so if you don’t get it exactly how you wanted it at first, you can’t really correct it, you have to clean it off and start over. But that sounds like the kind of permanence you’re looking for Smile I use the color “intense chocolate” because it’s really flattering to my eye and skin color.

Have you tried Urban Decay’s 24/7 pencils? If you give them a few seconds to set they stay put all day, even on my waterline. You may want to check out their eyeshadow primer potion too if you’re not using a primer. It really helps shadow and liner stay put. Their setting sprays are also awesome to keep all of your makeup from moving. Man, I really am a UD junkie, haha.

I second the Urban Decay 24/7 liners.  I turned my friends on to them as well.  They like the normal black and browns.  I on the other hand love the colors.  My favorite is the Rockstar color.

I third the Urban Decay pencils and the eyeshadow primer potion, I also like the Clinique gel liner which also doesn’t smudge.

Thanks for the advice, ladies! I went to urban decay’s website and found this kit on sale for $7!

http://www.urbandecay.com/urban-lash-kit/84020,default,pd.html

It has the eyeliner in a travel size, cruelty-free false lashes [which I want to start practicing applying so I’ll be prepared for the big day], the adhesive, and mascara. A pretty good deal to try everything before I go all out and pay $19 for that eyeliner. I’m excited to get it now 🙂

I am a MUA and here are some of my favs

Pencil Liner: TIGI Perfect Eyeliner and Make Up For Ever’s Aqua Eyes eyeliner

Liquid Eyeliner: Mac Liquid Eyeliner and TIGI Black Patent Eyeliner

Gel type liner: Mac Fluidline in Blacktrack <—-this is by far the best for longevity, the downside you need a small brush to apply it.. but it is the best as far as crying, and lasting.

I have oily lids, and the Urban Decay 24/7 pencils migrate all over the place after a few hours.  Frown

If they don’t work out for you (and I really do think it depends on your skin type), I’ve heard that the Make Up For Ever Aqua Creamliners are waterproof and stay on forever.  I haven’t had a chance to try it myself, but Sephora has a good return policy if you don’t like it.

I’ve heard good things about the Clinique and Bobbi Brown gel/cream eyeliners too.

I’m currently trying out the Maybelline gel eyeliner, which is pretty nice, but I’ve had it turn me into a raccoon before.  Might’ve been because I put it on my waterline and didn’t give it much time to set though LOL  But at about 8 bucks a pop, it’s a pretty good deal and worth a try.

I was on the search for this too, found one I LOVE and will never try anything else…. Bobby Brown eyeliner gell.  Its amaizing!!!!  Go to a makeup counter have them use it on you and then wear it around all day, you will see how wonderful it works and how there are no more racooneyes!

I second the suggestion for Clinique quickliner…it’s really easy to apply & it doesn’t go anywhere!

ETA: It sounds like you have oily lids, I have heard that an eye primer (or foundation) and a dusting of loose powder before eyeliner application helps. I can’t vouch for this, since my lids are dry.
