Have you tried coconut oil on it?  I had a spot on my ankle for ever and coconut oil was the only thing to heal it. Maybe give it a try?

If you want something you can easily get at the drugstore, I’d look at Physcian’s Forumla powders.  Especially their Gentle Wear 100% Natural Origin Loose Powder foundation.

I’d also make sure to wear makeup as little as possible. Last thing before you leave. First thing you take off when you get home.

If you’re having trouble with it looking powder-y make sure you moisturize well. Or put some water in a spray bottle and spritz yourself lightly after you apply.

I second MrsBlake2015:  bare minerals is what my derm recommended.

I actually think there’s a certain ingredient in mineral makeup that breaks people out (Talc?) so I would shy away from that. Also, mineral makeup will make your skin look even more flakey.

If you absoluetly must wear makeup, then go with a BB or CC cream since it’s not as heavy and they’re supposed to have better ingredients than typical foundations.

Hmmm . . . if your skin is already flaking, I feel like a mineral makeup will just make that worse unless you really, really moisturize first. I use Tarte amazonian clay and it’s amazing. I find it has less of a powdery look than Bare Minerals – for me at least. I definitely second the BB or CC cream suggestion though. It might be more effective than a powder foundation.

FutureMrsHodgy:  I woke up like that one morning and later found after allergy tests that I was allergic to Methylisothiazolinone (MI / MIT) & Methylchloroisothiazolinone (MCI / CMIT) which is found in makeup And creams. The only thing that helped was to put hydrocortisone cream all over my face and completely throw out my foundation and any other creams I put on my face. I highly suggest going to an allergist for skin allergy tests. My determatolotist was surprisingly clueless as well But the allergist was a huge help! Good luck!

FutureMrsHodgy:  oh no! It actually wasn’t all over. It was awkwardly in one spot. Probably isn’t the same thing though 🙁 when I went to the allergist they did a ton of skin tests to see what I was reacting to. They were able to tell me on the spot. Hopefully it’s something common so it’s easier to figure out
