I think your dress is gorgeous, and it's not that different from the new one you found. I think you should keep the dress you have, but perhaps you could get a few accessories to give it a pop like the new one. For example, I think a pretty sash with black lace and maybe a flower or some feathers in black would be gorgeous. I think black gloves would also give you that same look. And what are you doing on your head? A black fascinator would be gorgeous.
Your first dress is fabulous, and you don't have much time left, so I'd stick with it. I think, though, that with a few accessories, you'll really be able to rock the new look. Good luck!
Thank you all for you votes.. that lady are work just asked me was I crazy lol..
@GreenEyedMoon - Thank you very much.. I didn't even think of wearing black gloves I just was going to go basic bare hand. But that's an awesome idea. In my hair I have a black flower with swarokski crystals in the middle along with a russian birdcare blusher veil with crystals on it and I LOVE my veil. I'm thinking just stick to my dress that I already have and find things to make her stand out even more. I.E. Black gloves etc. Thank you so much.. :)
I'm in love with your dress as is so I vote keep it the same. It's already going to be different from the norm!
@elliestan - Thank you. Yeah it's very different. I have NO idea how people will react to it. But most of my family knows I'm NOT the usual girl lol. I've always loved different :) I think it's just getting so closed to the date I'm finding things to nit pick about. I guess when I see her again after it's been taken in and everything next week I'll fall in love with her again. It's hard when you 1st try the dress on and it's like way too big.. you love the dress but you think something better is out there. Hopefully with it altered and I can really see myself in the dress I wont want to add anything else but accessories.
I voted keep it the same, your dress is perfect the way it is. I actually think the band around the waist is distracting and just cuts you in half and it'll be more flattering without.
Your dress is different, but still looks bridal. The other one looks kind of prom-ish.
@pinkshoes - my co-worker said the same thing. She said it makes it choppy adding anything to the waist. It flows better without it.
I agree with PPs - leave it alone! Your dress looks classier than the second one - stick with it :)
@thingsthatshine - I'm starting to see that now.
@sarahbabs- Thanks.. I believe I will stick with it.
Another vote for the way it is. I love it!!
I much prefer your dress. I don't like that extra band of lace at the midsection. Love the PP idea of black opera length gloves, that would look fantastic!!
@LOGAHN1981: I think that the dress that you have already is beautiful. Also, you shouldn't have to add more stress to your wedding preparations by altering your dress. You'll just end up worrying till a few days before the wedding wondering if your dress will turn out alright.
I absolutely love your dress as is!! I think that the details are just enough :) I personally wouldn't change anything!
Aww thank you all so much... I really appreciate it alot... I guess it was the whole seeing a dress like it but different and wanting to be different as well.
as a fellow black and white dress bride, i thought about the same things you did, but ended up not doing anything and the dress really stood out on it's own!
@anglang25 - you dress is beautiful. It helps to see another black and white dress on a real bride. I think I will just leave my dress the way it is and let it shine on it's own.
I think the extra black makes it look too promy and not bride like enoug. I love the classic look of yours. Though I wouldn't be opposed to seeing it with a blak belt/flower/something. I think you could get some really cool black jewellry, necklace/earrings that would make it really say WOW (not that it doesn't already, just sounds like you want MORE). How about some awesome black sparkly shoes?
@manila128 - Thank you..
@Take The Reins - thank you.. I already have the black shoes. Yeah I just felt like something is missing from the dress. I got back for my next fitting next weds maybe once I see it altered to my body and it's actually "MY" dress I'll be okay.
@PWheels - Thank you very much...
@winerygirl - that seems to be the trend ;) I will more than likely keep it as is and just accesorize.
I love your dress... But I love it as is. I wouldnt change a thing.
Thanks for all of your comments after going to my fitting today I realized I LOVE my dress ESP after she did the BUSTLE.. OMG.. Every person that came back in Alterations was in awe at the dress and me in it.. :) Thanks for all of your support.
I'm so glad you had a happy ending! I can't wait to see photos!
Thank you.. I'll post pics once I get home.. I can stop looking at them. I saw the dress and was like OMG My dress and the little bit of dress regret left as soon as I put it on and it was on me fit to me etc. I love it.. My main concern was how will they bustle all of this stuff and she said it's only one way to bustle this dress and it's an over bustle. And I've seen over bustles that look like you just have something hanging there. But she did mine and OMG It was BEAUTIFUL.. You couldn't even tell I had a train on the dress. It was perfect and I didn't lose any of my details. It was amazing. I love love love my dress now.. She said it wasn't fully finished and I was like are you kidding me.. Seriously what more besides the bustle needs to be done it looks perfect and she said no not yet.. I can't wait to see it on October 19th and on that day I'll have a little under a month until the big day :)
I think you should leave your dress alone and wear the black gloves...that is sooooooo awesome! I'm usually not a fan of gloves, but those are sweet.

This is the dress bustled. This is what took my dress regret completely away.. As you can see the big smile on my face lol.. I danced around for like 15 mins after she showed me the bustle.. I'm not going change a thing to my baby :)
I voted add embellishments - black gloves like the photo or some black jewellery. I did a quick search and there are some amazing black jewellery to choose from.
what about a black sash? Their are some really pretty ones around.
I decided to leave it as is.. and I had a pink black and sliver crinoline.

So this is my dress...
I love love love her, but everytime I look at it I feel like something is missing to my dress like it should be something more done to it. So I started looking around a black and white dress and low and behold I found this...
So not I'm sitting here thinking.. Hmmm so I get this dress... (The wedding's about 2 months away) or should I add some type of lace to the midsection to give it more pop or leave it alone...
What are your thoughts...
