    Hi,

I like most people am a total "worrywart" when it comes to planning my wedding. There are a lot of things that I am concerned about, but everyone says, "in the end...it will all work out."

So, I have a question [twisted logic of course] what are the things that I should REALLY worry about and the things that I shouldn't even concern myself about because they "work themselves out." For example, I had a friend tell me not to contine to send save the dates, just to make sure people got save the dates because she spent weeks upon weeks, sending save the dates to people.

Any other tips?If there are any recent brides out there, just give me some tips on things that you said "I should have..."

Hmmm, I guess my advice on what not to worry about is all the drama that goes along with weddings.  Weddings are really emotional events (not just for the bride and groom) and sometimes people act really badly.

Case in point, I was all caught up on the fact that my little sister was being super selfish the entire planning time and told us that she would just "swing by McDonald's" on the way to the reception because she didn't like our meal choices.  Did she end up going to McDonald's instead of eating the meal we had waiting for her?  Yes.  Did she miss all the speeches and toasts because she wanted to go eat, alone, at a fast food joint instead of spend time with us?  Yes.  Anyway, the wedding was incredible and special and perfect, even with her bad behavior.

But, honestly, I spent a ton of time worrying that it was going to happen, and then it happened anyway.  Just try to avoid the drama as best you can and let go of as much as it as possible.  I know that asking a lot, but now I wish I wouldn't have wasted so much time worrying about the inevitable.

The most important thing you SHOULD worry about is your organization.  Sure I got flack about having schedules, timelines, and itineraries for every family member at the wedding, but my wedding started on time and we didn't have any major catastrophes along the way.  (Besides the Mickie D's incident, I suppose!)
