kaity.velazquez:  I don’t think many brides on here have Inbal Dror gowns because they are pricey. I think some have replicas if I’m not mistaken. I do think one bee had a gown from Inbal but that’s it. I’ve never heard of the other designer nor seen a bee wearing it. Have you used the search function??

kaity.velazquez:  congrats on your recent engagement!

When I was dress shopping I tried on tons of dresses including about 4 Inbal Dror and 6 or 7 Berta. I fell in love with and ultimately purchased a Berta gown. In my opinion, the Inbal dresses were pretty spendy (average seemed like 9 to 12k and went up from there) for the quality and craftmanship. The Berta dresses, while in my opinion also still at the higher end (starting at about 7k and up), were beautifully built and had tons of shape and equally interesting details. Even the samples that I tried from a trunk show were in excellent condition despite probably having been tried on hundreds of times.

If you are new to your search, you may also want to check out Lazaro (tons of texture and unique backs/trains) and Claire Pettibone (romantic and dreamy). I would loved to have been able to try on dresses from other Israeli designers like Zahavit Tshuba (swoon!) and Galia Lahav, and british designer Amanda Wakeley.

Good luck and have fun!

LadyAprill:   these cell phone pictures are almost too blah to share but they are a “real bride” in two Berta dresses. I’m squeezed into a sample size but you get the drift. the first one is the one I purchased — just arrived this week. Yay!

Awe, ladies you make me blush! thanks for the dress compliments!! I can’t wait to see and wear it again.

kaity.velazquez:  for modesty, a lot of changes can be made… take my dress example, we may add/build coverage for the cleavage and may insert privacy panels in the front of the dress and just leave the back open lace.  I have seen sleeves added too  (e.g here is my dress with sleeves http://www.pinterest.com/pin/553239135446364853/).

Another thing to consider is that several of the dresses are actually two pieces (a bodysuit and a skirt) so you could combine one top with a different bottom.

tappinmytoes:  would you ever consider renting out just the top portion of your gown? my email is milernss@gmail.com and I would take out a insurance policy for you to feel comfortable!
