- Wedding: August 2012
I’m sure there has already been a post on this but I can’t seem to find one that’s exactly like my situation. My question is: we are getting ready to address and send out our wedding invitations and I was wondering if it’s bad etiquette to stick the rehearsal dinner invite in with the wedding invitation for those invited (just immediate family and wedding party). Yes, FIL are hosting but we ordered the invites because we had some vistaprint freebies. So, I’ll be responsible for sending them out.
Benefits of sending them together:
- Out of town family/friends will know to make arrangemnets to stay 2 nights as opposed to one.
- Save FI and I on time (addressing another set of invites) and postage.
- RD invitation does not match our invitation set.. the wedding invitation is much more formal. I don’t want to take away from the beautiful invites that we’ve worked hard on.
Has anyone sent their unmatching RD invites & wedding invitations together? Would you think it’s tacky if you recieved them together for a wedding? Thanks for your help!
